It's no secret. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir just keeps getting better. Now, some of the Choir's most requested music has been newly recorded for Then Sings My Soul. From the glorious, soul-stirring hymn "The Spirit of God Like a Fire Is Burning" to the soothing strains of "Lead, Kindly Light" and the sing-along melody of "There is Sunshine in My Soul Today," each song in this collection is a time-honored favorite. Then Sings My Soul includes associated conductor Mack Wilberg's magnificent new arrangements of such classics as "High on the Mountain Top," "How Firm a Foundation," "Redeemer of Israel," and "Jesus, the Very Thought of Thee." Also featured are updated versions of perennial favorites like "O Divine Redeemer," "The Lord's Prayer," "How Great Thou Art," "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," and "Abide with Me."

Review from The Buffalo News:
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Then Sings My Soul, the Orchestra at Temple Square, Craig Jessop, Mack Wilberg (Mormon Tabernacle Choir). There's something comforting about the Mormon Tabernacle Choir moving serenely into the third millennium. Here's an art that, for better or worse, hasn't changed in 50 years. This collection's square, solid, impeccably orchestrated arrangements tell more than words can the strength of the hallowed, heartland-of-America Protestant singing tradition. "How Great Thou Art," a thrilling version complete with flute bird calls, "Abide With Me," "Holy, Holy, Holy" (a masterpiece of excess with chimes, trumpets and a drum roll) and a soaring "Nearer, My God To Thee" are like, well, rocks of ages. John Rutter's effervescent "I Will Sing With the Spirit" stands out as a rare, albeit benign, nod to modern times. Review: 3 stars (out of 4) (Mary Kunz Goldman)

It puts the spirit into my home every time I put this CD on. I love hearing songs from the tabernacle choir. It buoys me up when I listen to them.
