Feelings of loneliness can be burdensome and overwhelming. Despite their circumstances, however, many have found a way to live their life so they may be alone, but are definitely not lonely. Learn from the experiences and insights of the contributors who, themselves, have been through bouts of harsh loneliness.

This book shows readers how loneliness (a combination of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors)became a part of their life, and what they can do to eliminate it. Paul S. Brandt, a professional psychotherapist, shares spiritual truths and psychological insights that can help readers achieve their purpose in life: to experience joy.

I've never read a better self-help book!

gabriel, UTAH - January 02, 2009

Jennifer Ricks gave this book an excellent review so I decided to read it. The author writes like he's sitting and talking with the reader. I felt like he knew me and cared about me. The content is deeply spiritual, psychologically insightful, and motivational. Paul, the author, also includes very personal insights from his own experiences, some of them quite painful, and from the experiences of his clients. This book has helped me feel more love for Heavenly Father, myself, and for the people in my life. I now feel more hopeful and empowered to enjoy my life and feel connected with others. I highly recommend this book to anyone, lonely or not, LDS or not. It is for anyone of any faith who could use more hope and love.
