The Book of Mormon is the history and scripture of the Israelites whose fathers came from Jerusalem to the American continent before the rise of the Inca, Maya and Aztecs. It is intended for our times in support of the Bible. It puts itself on the line by saying evidence of itself would "be found" in our day, for a stated "intent" that shows it is true. This evidence comes from non-Mormon geologists, archaeologists, anthropologists and historians doing research unrelated to the Book of Mormon. The result is a body of reliable evidence that offers insight for Mormon and non-Mormon alike.
