Additional Information
Restoration Press has received license from Alfred A. Knopf, Publisher, New York to
produce a limited number of Richard L. Bushman’s highly praised and well-received
biography of Mormonism’s founding leader. The book has been sewn and hand-bound in
brown leather. The leather was
obtained from J. Hewit & Sons Ltd. Edinburgh, Scotland. The leathers originate mainly
from Scandinavia and are aniline dyed and dried on glass plates to enhance the natural
smoothness and beauty associated with this quality of leather and can be considered of
archival quality. The marbled endpapers were hand-made especially for this book by Iris
Nevins of Hand Marbled Papers, Johnsonburg, New Jersey.
The front cover has a simple double-line border enclosing an embossed reproduction of
Smith’s signature.
The book is a first edition, 6th printing.
Each copy will be hand-numbered and signed by the author.
