1. Can coupons be used on everything you sell?

Promotional coupons can be used on most things sold at Deseret Book. The discount is off regular retail prices and cannot be combined with other discounts. Coupons cannot be used on the following products: Willow Tree Statues, Church Dist items, purchase of giftcards, tickets, or digital downloads (ebooks & mp3's)

3. Do you offer digital downloads such as MP3's and ebook's?

Yes! Many items will have the digital format available on each title's product page. eBooks offered by Deseret Book are only readable with the Deseret Bookshelf Application, exclusively for Apple (iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch) & Android devices with access to the Android Market.

** Currently digital download purchases are not able to accept coupons, giftcards, or redemption of points. Platinum Reward customers may earn points for digital content purchases. There are no returns or refunds on ebooks once purchased.

4. Can the coupons we receive with the catalog be used multiple times online?

Coupons that arrive in the mail with the catalog are intended for a one time use. If you use the coupon at a retail store the coupon is surrendered to the cashier. When you use it online, please discard the coupon after use. Attempts to use the coupon multiple times will not be honored.

5. Does Deseretbook.com price match?

Deseretbook.com and Deseret Book mail order division do not price-match with other online retailers. Deseret Book offers the Rewards program as well as offering regular sales and promotions. 6. Can you imprint names on scriptures?

We can imprint names on scriptures, hymnals, and most hardbound journals. We do not imprint on scripture covers and totes. The cost of imprinting is $3.00 per line and this will be added to the price of the item you wish to have imprinted.* The cost will be added to the price of the item. Imprinting is available in either Script (upper & lower case letters) or Block (all upper case letters) and is available in Gold or Silver. On scriptures we will match color of the imprint to the gilding on the book (silver for blue scripture and gold for all others.) To have an item imprinted please put the request in the "special instructions" section of the checkout. Indicate the item you want imprinted, the style, and the name you would like imprinted. Please do not exceed 22 letters including spaces.
Imprint requests may delay the processing of your order by 1 day.
*This charge will not show on your order confirmation as the price will be adjusted by a customer service clerk before shipping.

7. Has the Rewards Program changed?

The first level of the Rewards program has been discontinued. Beginning April 13, 2009, you must be a Platinum member to earn points. Customers who join Platinum will earn 10 points per dollar spent, and may redeem points on everything but shipping, taxes, tickets, downloads, and gift cards. Join Platinum for $25.00, get an immediate 10% off your purchase, 10% back in points on subsequent purchases, free gifts and special offers throughout the year. Non-Platinum customers may continue to redeem points (points earned prior to April 13, 2009) at any retail location, DeseretBook.com, and 1-888-846-7302. If a customer becomes inactive (desists in making at least one purchase in 18 months) , any abandoned points will be decremented and unusable.

8. What if I receive something that is damaged or defective?

All damaged or defective items need to be reported upon receipt of the merchandise. Items damaged in shipping must be reported within 20 days.

Items with manufacturer defects need to be reported within 90 days of purchase.

Notify us by email at service@deseretbook.com or by calling 1-888-846-7302. A customer service representative will give you instructions on how to return the merchandise if needed, and process a replacement order.

9. Do you gift wrap?

Deseret Book has a standard burgundy color wrap available for $3.00 per item*. The cost will be added to the price of the item. Wrapping is available on books, CD's, and most other items smaller than 8X10. Framed art, large book sets, and large statues cannot be gift wrapped. To have an item gift wrapped please put the request in the "special instructions" section of the checkout. If you have more than one item in your shopping cart, please indicate which item(s)you would like wrapped.
Gift wrap requests may delay the processing of your order by 1 day.

10. Can public libraries and schools order from Deseret Book?

Deseret Book is happy to place orders for schools and public libraries. Most are eligible for a discount, non-tax orders, and orders by Purchase Order. For more information on how to do this, please contact our customer service department at 1-888-846-7302.

11. How do make changes to my personal information, view the status of an order, or change my password?

At the upper right hand side of the Deseretbook.com homepage, click on the link entitled "My Account." If you are not logged in you will be prompted to do so. From the My Account page you can manage your personal information and addresses, reset your password, view the status of orders placed, see order history, or view your Platinum Points balance.

12. How do I redeem rewards points online?

In the check out you will find a box on the left hand side labeled "special instructions". Use this box to indicate that you would like to use points. We will then intercept the order, verify the points, and make the adjustment to the order. This adjustment will not show on the immediate email confirmation.

13. What are the details on the free shipping promotion?

Previously, orders for in-stock items that total over $100 dollars automatically qualified for free standard, domestic shipping. This offer has been removed in order to lower our basic shipping prices to start at $2.99 instead of $5.75. Occasional Free shipping offers may be found within our email communications. These offers apply to domestic standard shipping on orders with all items marked "ready to ship".

14. How do I return unwanted merchandise?

Returns are accepted within 90 days of purchase. When returning items to our Customer Service Center, please indicate the reason for your return on the reverse side of the packing slip and include the packing slip in the carton. For your protection, you may wish to send your return via UPS or insured parcel post. Please send all returns to:

DeseretBook.com cannot credit for shipping and handling or pay for return shipping charges unless we have made a shipping error. Personalized items, out of print, and items purchased on clearance are not returnable. Please note that it may take 1-2 billing cycles for your bank to post the credit to your statement.

Unfortunately we do not accept returns on digital downloaded products and they are not eligible for refunds.

15. Are prices subject to change?

Yes. Online prices are subject to change without prior notice.

17. If I am able to add something to my basket is it a guarantee I will receive it?

We try to keep our stock levels updated online constantly. There are times, however, during extremely busy sales period or popular sale promotions that some things are sold faster than our computer can update online. If this happens we will notify you by email that we were unable to fill your order. You are not charged for unfilled orders.

18. Will you ship to prisons, jails, and other correctional facilities?

Deseret Book is able to ship from our warehouse to correctional facilities. You can place your order online or by calling 1-888-846-7302. Our retail store locations are not able to ship to correctional facilities.

Each facility has their own rules regarding shipping to prisoners. Please be aware of these rules prior to placing your order as we are unable to know the rules for every facility in the country. Some general guidelines are:
* Some correctional facilities only accept shipments from authorized companies. For instance, Deseret Book is not on the approved list for the Utah State Prison and all packages will be returned to us. Please be sure the place you are sending the order to accepts packages from Deseret Book.
* Most correctional facilities will not accept the following: Hardback books, cassettes, CD's, DVD's,spiral bound books, and Leather bound books including scriptures.
* Some correctional facilities have a limit as to how many items can come to a prisoner in one package.

Please know the guidelines for the particular correctional facility prior to placing your order.
