Buy this...</strong>, October 12, 2004<br/>\n\t\tBy Robert, <br/><br />\n\t\tThis is a 5 star CD. I agree with other reviewers in that at times you can&#x27;t understand the words too well.  The hardest song to understand happens to be my favorite...&#x27;Thou Gracious God whose mercy lends&#x27;, but that&#x27;s because the AWESOME orchestra takes over on the crescendo at the end. I just pull out the handy booklet that has all the words and I memorize them, and then the words don&#x27;t seem too indecipherable. This is GREAT music. (Although I love &#x27;Consider the Lilies&#x27;, this collection seems to flow better and as a whole, is a better CD). ,  By the way, Mack Wilberg and Brother Jesop are geniuses. I do not care for &#x27;Come, let us anew&#x27; as a hymn. It&#x27;s just blah. But on this record, it&#x27;s as if I heard the hymn for the first time. Remarkable use of drums! This is how that hymn should be sung.(Snare drums in church, anyone?)\n\t\t</div>\n\t\t<div style=\"margin:5px 0px 40px 0px;\">\n\t\t    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n \n\t\t<div class=\"clearme\"></div>\n\t\t<strong>This CD caused a change in me, for the good !</strong>, February 26, 2008<br/>\n\t\tBy Kate, MT<br/><br />\n\t\tI bought this several years ago because it was on sale and I needed a gift ! I listened to it myself and it blew me away.  The hymn &#x27;Come Let Us Anew&#x27;, as sung by the Choir cut me to the marrow. It made me realize how much time I waste and I got busy- when I get down, I think of the words &#x27;for the arrow has flown, and the moments are gone...&#x27;   and I &#x27;wake up&#x27; and get doing something worthwhile.  I have bought about 6 of these and am ordering another one today... to give as a gift.  Please send my appreciation  on to the Choir.  Thank You.\n\t\t</div>\n\t\t<div style=\"margin:5px 0px 40px 0px;\">\n\t\t    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star_blank\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star_blank-4a4b9a0a89046fbef10c61d0fbd3ecd3.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star_blank\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star_blank-4a4b9a0a89046fbef10c61d0fbd3ecd3.png\" />\n \n\t\t<div class=\"clearme\"></div>\n\t\t<strong>Good, but not great</strong>, December 28, 2006<br/>\n\t\tBy Customer, TX<br/><br />\n\t\tI love the choir CDs, and this has some great songs on it.  However, the recording doesn&#x27;t seem as clear as the sound as pure as some of their previous albums (such as &#x27;Consider the Lilies&#x27;).  I don&#x27;t know if they&#x27;ve changed recording methods or if the choir sound has just changed somewhat over time(that&#x27;s to be expected--no one can sing with the MoTab forever!) but it&#x27;s just not quite as good as the others.  Sometimes the orchestra (or the brass section specifically) drowns out the singing, which I think is sad.\n\t\t</div>\n\t\t<div style=\"margin:5px 0px 40px 0px;\">\n\t\t    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n    <img alt=\"Rating_star\" src=\"http://cdn3.deseretbook.com/assets/rating_star-865fe30e1b1c2725430a42c1943e5dd5.png\" />\n \n\t\t<div class=\"clearme\"></div>\n\t\t<strong>CAPTIVATING!</strong>, September 15, 2007<br/>\n\t\tBy Mary Sandra, <br/><br />\n\t\tThis album is awesome.  The song &#x27;Peace Like A River&#x27; is the most beautiful I have ever heard by any Choir or singer and the special arrangement of verses within the song - Peace, Faith, Hope and Love - are unique. This is the CD I listen to when I am tired, stressed, or in need of inspiration, hope, and peace in my life. Two years ago I visited a friend who lives near a significant Civil War historic area on the Potomac River in WV/MD. The songs Peace Like a River, Deep River, and the sound of the bells and bagpipes took on new meaning as I thought of the sacrifices tens of thousands soldiers made for the cause of freedom. Now I am filled with gratitude every time I listen to this album. This recording is food for the soul!\n\t\t</div>\n"}
