Description:

109 pages | The Promise of Enough, by author and TOFW presenter Emily Freeman, is a spiritual journey designed to help any person who has ever before experienced an unmet need, such as a longing for peace or joy. This book is designed to help you overcome those struggles, come to understand the Lord’s plan, and gain faith in His promise of enough, both spiritually and temporally. It will help you come to trust that the Lord truly has miracles in store for you.

by Emily Freeman

This discovery guide is designed to help you and your group members discuss the things you discovered while reading this book. You may choose to use all of these questions, or just a few to start with. Enjoy!'

1. Discuss as a group the word "abundance." What was your understanding of this word before you read this book and what has it evolved to?

2. At the beginning, the author invites you to write in your book. Ask a few group members to share a few of the ways they highlighted or took notes while reading this book.

3. Of the seven principles of abundance, which one resonated with you the most? Was there an experience or a story that you could relate to or that influenced you in a specific way?

4. Emily Freeman inserts reflection questions at the end of each principle, titled "Make the Most of Today." Choose one or two of these to discuss as a group:

Why does believing that God's will for you is good allow you to trust Him more fully? (p.27)

How would you describe the difference between giving and giving all? (p.53)

What are some specific ways you could learn to be more content with what you have? (p.91)

5. What is the one thing that you are taking away from this book? Maybe it's an action item, maybe it's a change of heart or maybe it's a better understanding of a gospel principle. Have the group members share and encourage them to identify and record this in their journal.

JOURNAL QUESTION: Read through the "seven principles of abundance" on page 107. In your journal, write all the ways that you have experienced "abundance." Come up with one new "principle of abundance" and write a definition of it similar to the way the author has on this page.
