I just found an article on the Advance for Nurses website that actually shows that we nurses are weight-lifters. "According to Tuohy-Main, the cumulative weight lifted by nurses, nurse's aides, orderlies and attendants in one typical 8-hour shift is equivalent to 1.8 tons. No wonder we're exhausted and so prone to back, neck and other musculoskeletal or neurological injuries." Hmm, who works 8-hour shifts any more? Do they even exist in nursing? So E, how much time do we count for weight-lifting? :)
