Subject: just a thought on moms

I was sitting here at my computer, I see a young Mother walking by, pushing a heavy stroller with two little ones. The thought hit, "Does she know how beautiful she is?" not because she was beautiful and gorgeous, but because she is serving her Heavenly Father and His children, Does she feel beautiful--- because of that very fact? (Or is she only hearing all the negative, guilt and "not good enoughs"?)
I hope this mother and all you mothers feel beautiful today, Because of what you do and who you are serving! Be beautiful today! Because you are! sniff! Please know your worth as a mother, you are so valuable, you know there are some things that only you can do- and NO one else can do that as well! I hope you feel amazing, because you are! Even in little everyday acts of service you are building eternities... "small and simple things."

Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes. To the world, you may be only one person. But to one person, you may be the world! I know from experience that motherhood is a very sacred and fulfilling calling!

Holy cow! What a blessing you are to me today.
I am pregnant for the seventh time with the last three ending in miscarriage.
We were feeling like we were too old to keep on trying and were about to make a doctor's appointment to "be done" - but then a "oops" happened and I am expecting a baby.
I have been having sooo much anxiety because we had decided that we were done and our youngest will be 5 when the baby is born - so we will be starting over from scratch in many ways. Lots of worries and anxious thoughts.
Then I read this. Thank you, thank you! What a tender mercy.
You are awesome.

well, I was watching that Mom push that heavty stoller and it just hit me... I almost started to cry, guess the spirit teaches us whenever and how ever it can! Glad it cheered your heart! Jelli

I had twelve years between the first 6 kids and the last three. Thought we were done and had three more. I was 41 when the last one was born and was so upset to be pregnant again. She has been one of the sweetest blessings of my life. Always happy and smiling and the very best attitude. Don't worry. You will be so blessed! I have decided that when Heavenly Father gives you an "oops" He really does know best. I know that I am very grateful for the second chance at motherhood. Your five year old will be the perfect age to be a great sibling. Have a wonderful pregnancy! Sending hugs and best wishes.

gompers, all your worries, don't worry!
Everything will work out! We have "two" families.... older 20 and 18..... then almost ten more years and another two 3 1/2 years apart... we played the game, "we'll be this old when..." and it doesn't even matter now. I was almost in my 40's when I had our youngest and it all works out!!! Have faith- Be happy! Jelli
