Hi Ladies. I was wondering if any of you might have an idea of a way my family and I could celebrate our completion of the Book of Mormon? We are currently in Ether, and I'd really like to do something special for the kids. I'm really proud of them for this accomplishment, and I'd like them to know how exciting this is for me. What would you suggest?

Do a "who is your favorite person in the BOM and tell us why. Then make some awards for each child....something that they did really well. Then the treat...gotta have a treat. Be creative. Make a boat or the "ships...tight like unto a dish. just afew ideas.

Have them draw pictures of their favorite story in the Book of Mormon and tell it to the rest of the family. Then don't forget the treats! Maybe something like Indian frybread or Walk a mile in my shoe leather (fruit leather). Have fun with it and think up something that children might have had in B of M times or something that will remind your family of BofM times. Anything fun would probably be a big hit.

What about framing the pictures after they draw them so they can be a visual reminder of the principles they learned and of their accomplishment? There are always cheap frames at the dollar store and children love to see their art work displayed.

These are great ideas! We should finish just after Christmas and I am going to use some of them for my kids! Thank you so much everyone for posting ways to positively impact what I am doing in my own family. I am going to start planning!
