is that how you spell it?

anyway, I was supposed to babysit last friday evening. there was a churchdance in our district for the adults, and since hubby would not let me drag him there, he agreed to go babysit for a young couple with 2 kids, so that they might go for it...the western dance!

The young sister was caught with the flu, so no wannabe granny and granddad for us :)). But the next day, her husband called to ask if I could come by so he could take his wife to the hospital because the flu was really bad and she was 4,5 months pregnant.
The baby was okay, but yesterday the testresults came back from the lab and she was diagnosed with h1n1 !! So now the family is to stay inside their house for 1 week. She is already recovering though, but they need to stay on the safe side for others not to be infected.

That was quite a fright! I had to admit to my hubby, who had warned me not to go there on saturday because it might be THE flu. Iwent anyway because, after reconsidering, I felt very much assured from within that everything would be okay, so I decided to take 'the chance' and go take care of the little ones. They are such cuties too!
Now, I am very grateful that no one was infected by me (we do a lot of hugging in our branch on sundays :)), and ofcourse I am very happy that I was not infected myself.

They say there will be a huge outburst this autumn, I hear it has begun in our regions. It is scary, isn't it?

But wait; even under such uncertain circumstances , it is wonderful to feel the assurance that we are in His hands and He will take care of us.
I think every family in our branch has had to deal with sickness, financial or relational problems and yet these trials have made us all stronger and brought us closer together in the process.....

I'm just thankful to know that Heavenly Father has a plan and He watches over us.

Heavenly Father helps us as long as we use our heads. (When we know) if we don't know he will help as well.

Yes Debbie, I it feels like a special gift from Heavenly Father...

The regular flu can be a pain as well :((, hope your dh is okay now!

Gail, I agree, that's why I considered the worst possible outcome. But it felt so unreal. I hesitated to trust my feelings, because I did not want to be unwise and I did not like ignoring my husbands advice.... Still, even though I decided to go anyway, I kept hoping and praying everything would be okay with the mom, the family and that I would not catch anything that I could pass along.
It never ceases to amaze me how you can have strong feelings (promptings), that direct you to do one thing, in complete trust, even though it might seem foolish to others. What wonderful guidance, very humbling also,

When you get prompting, and others back them up and you don't listen that is called a promptless. Sometimes we want to do something so much that we fail to listen and pay the consequences. OUCH!!!!
