Brent L. Top
Brent L. Top, professor of Church history and doctrine and former associate dean of Religious Education at Brigham Young University, holds bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees from Brigham Young University. He served as president of the Illinois Peoria Mission from 2004-2007. He is a member of the board of directors for Deseret Book and a popular speaker. He has written many books and articles on religious, educational, historical, and sociological subjects. Among his books are: The Life Before; Forgiveness: Christ’s Priceless Gift; and most recently, When You Can’t Do It Alone. He has also co-authored several books with his wife, Wendy, including Finding Inward Stillness and Glimpses Beyond Death’s Door. He and Wendy are the parents of four children and the grandparents of thirteen. They reside in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
