We’re all busy, right?

Sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day to do all the things that need to be done.

That’s just one of the reasons I have been LOVING Sheri Dew’s new book. I sometimes don’t find the time to read everything I want to read; but I always seem to have time to read a quote. And the great thing about these quotes is that they seem to stick with me all day long.

But, back to busy women… Sheri is one of the busiest I know. And so, hopefully you’ll appreciate the fact that I barged into her office last Friday and just casually pulled out my little Flip camera for a casual little interview (unless an interview requires me to actually have talked…grin). I thought that might be a fun way to share this gem with you and/or your TOFW Book Club. If you can’t come to Sheri’s office, I thought I’d bring Sheri’s office to you!

What resulted is a fun little “behind the scenes” into SAYING IT LIKE IT IS. It was great to hear a little about several of the pictures in the book that were handpicked because of their special meaning to Sheri. I think it adds another dimension to the book and I hope you and/or your book club loves what they’ll learn.

And, of course, I couldn’t not tease Sheri about her desk (especially that drawer! How many of us have a drawer like that?). And I wasn’t exaggerating when I said that it’s SO FULL that there are papers that fall out the other side…happened a couple of times just a few weeks ago while we were meeting about something. And now that the world knows about it, I’m sure it will get cleaned out (or I’ll get cleaned out…I’m not sure which!)

But, hey…I was just “saying it like it is”!

This was such a wonderful insight into real life that we all need to see. My drawer at work looks just like that! Every opportunity I have had to talk with Sheri from her visit to the Hill Cumorah Pageant to Time Out for Women she has always been an inspiration and this little book is just one more way. thanks for sharing life, love and laughter with all of us...

I appreciate Sheri's willingness to allow us a tiny glimpse into her and her daily life. It helped me remember that my heroes are just people, too. It must be a great burden to be an amazing example to so many. . . . I want Sheri to know, despite her humility, that the Lord used this book to help me grow tremendously at an important juncture in my life -- I thank her for that and didn't know how else to let her know! Thanks, too, Laurel for this wonderful idea and treat. As it was so aptly put earlier -- "YOU ROCK"!?!
