I shared the event with my niece and we had the best time together. Working the service project was such a joy with the wonderful sisters and the leadership of Tennisa. The messages and the music was inspiring and I can't wait for the next TOFW in Plano.

There are no words to describe the experience I had at Time Out for Women. It was life changing! The messages of Hope were not unique to messages that I had been taught before but the way they were delivered and the powerful spirit that accompanied them was incredible. I think it was because of the many beautiful and strong women that filled the room as well as the testimonies of the speakers.
DAWN
There are many things I do hope for, good health, happy children, happy marriage etc. The reason for all hope is only through our Savior and His perfect atonement. This was such an amazing experience. FUN and SPIRITUAL! The best of both worlds!

TOFW was the BEST ever this year. The music was incredible and the speakers even better. They all had the Spirit so strongly with them. I came away feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and shared many thoughts with my sisters back home who could not attend. Next time I am encouraging everone to take advantage of this great opportunity and I would love to bring nonmembers also. The girl in charge of coordinating the whole thing did a superb job!!

I attended TOFW-Houston last year. It was the first one I had ever attended and wasn't sure what to expect, but it wasn't what I was hoping for. So, when TOFW-Plano rolled around and my mom started asking if I wanted to go, I hummed and hawed and finally said, "no, I don't think so." Well then I started seeing friends on facebook talk about it and started seeing a lot of women that I know planning to attend. I started to think that maybe I should just check out who the presenters are, just to see. I go on the website and the first thing I saw was the really cut bag. And then I checked the presenter list and I saw Cheiko Okazaki (sp?), Hilary Weeks, Michael McLean, and Brad Wilcox. I have never heard Hilary or Cheiko in person but I know many of Hilary's songs and have read some of Cheiko's talks and really enjoyed them. I performed in the choir when Michael came to Dallas for "Forgotten Carols." But, the person I was really excited about was Brad Wilcox. I attended a class he gave at EFY about 15 years ago and still remember how much I enjoyed listen to him. So I rallied my sisters and mom and told them that I think we should go this year. I am so glad I did. And so glad my husband was willing to spare me for a weekend. After the event was over and my husband asked how it was it told him, "It was like I had been thirsty for a long time and I drunk a tall glass of cool water." It was exactly what I was hoping for. And even though I didn't get to see Cheiko (hope she is feeling better), I was not disappointed with her replacement. I was pleased with the addition of service project this year. I enjoyed being able to give to others while I was being spiritually fed. I plan on attending the next TOFW in Texas and look forward to the same spiritual feast. Please include another service project, as this really sealed the deal for me. Thanks Emily

It was such a great experience to be able to be uplifted and feel the spirit during this event. My testimony has grown as my knowledge of the gospel has been increased and the truths have been confirmed by his spirit as we listened to the speakers share their experiences and testimony with us. Thanks for hosting such a great weekend that will keep me coming back next year!

Some famous entertainers are known by one name or one song. But Michael McLean is known for literally dozens of songs. And his songs say, sometimes almost perfectly, what all of us have felt. Because of that, chances are he’s written one just for you.

We all want to succeed. Does it sound like something out of reach for you? Can we measure success and are there appropriate markers or comparisions we can make? You said you can’t imagine TOFW without her; happily, you don’t have to. Hilary is not just a great songwriter and incredible performer. She is first and foremost a woman—a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister. Her humor and her testimony make every event perfect.

By Grace We Are Saved
"For we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do," 2 Nephi 25:23, is one of the most widely quoted scriptures in the Church, yet it may also be one of the least understood. The truth is that we are saved by grace as we recognize our complete dependence on Jesus Christ.
Survivor of war-torn Sierra Leone, humanitarian beneficiary; LDS convert and public speaker; attended LDS Business College
Raised in war-torn Sierra Leone, Mariama Kallon saw many things as a young girl that might fill a person with fear and hatred. Soon after witnessing the violent murders of parents and siblings and spending her youth fleeing from rebels, she was introduced to the gospel of Jesus Christ and found hope in God and peace in a knowledge of eternal families. She was given a humanitarian kit by the Church, which became a treasured symbol of hope that she used to bless the lives of many as they again fled for their lives. After returning to her town, she was called on a mission to the Salt Lake City Temple Square Mission, and wept in gratitude to the Lord as she visited the place where her precious humanitarian kit was made. Today Mariama stands as an example of the divine purposes of humanitarian work and tells her story to numerous audiences, urging them to participate in this work.
