I flew from Mesa to Pocatello specifically to attend TOFW with my married daughter. It was the first time either of us had attended TOFW, but not our last! She's had a difficult time adjusting to her new life in Idaho, but felt happy & uplifted after listening to the beautiful music and speakers. We especially enjoyed Jenny Oaks Baker's music and Heidi Swinton's talk (as we've read her biography about Pres. Monson). Also Amanda Dixon's message was really great. I got a chance to speak with her & tell her that I'm writing a book because I listened to her CD's! I can't wait to attend next year! Gwyn:)

TOFW is such a rich and rewarding experience. This was my second event and I enjoyed it even more. Great presenters with great stories and wonderful real-life experiences that kept me laughing, crying and feeling the spirit.
The best part about TOFW is that the presenters make us feel like we are their friends and that we have a personal relationship. Not just one speaker, but all of them. I think that is a wonderful gift.
I am so happy to have found about this event through a blurb my girlfriend made about a TOFW she was going to, and the nosey neighbor that I am, I had to look it up and wound up bying tickets to the SLC event last year. I'm in Idaho and she is is Caifornia.
All I can say is thank you so very much for all the time, effort and talent that is shared in putting one of these events together.

While I was touched by all of the presenters, Sis Belcher spoke right to my heart. I know the anxiety that she spoke of. Almost three years ago, I started the process of losing the vision in one of my eyes dues to a retinal detachment, and within the last year have had to have constant monitoring and surgery of the other one due to a retinal tear. I have felt the comfort of the Atonement in my life as I have gone through the last few years. I learned like Sis. Belcher did, that humor can ease the pain, but I also learned that faith is SO important. I have also learned that comparing my problems to others undermines the power of the Atonement. If we say,"Sis or Brother So and So lost their job, or a spouse, or a child, or is terminally ill...etc...and I shouldn't complain" we don't give ourselves the benefit of the blessings of the Atonement that is for ALL of us. Sister Belcher's presentation filled my lamp so much.

This was my first time at TOFW. I am from SLC and was prompted to attend this in Pocatello, I was not sure why until I heard Kris Belcher speak. It was as if she was talking directly to me. I have had my own experiences with cancer and the physical affects that can not be hidden. She truly was an inspiration to me that if I followed the winds of change, my life would be good! Thank you for everything...all the presenters were great.

Last night and today was fantastic! The spirit was so strong. Thank you for allowing me to be your "guest" as part of the Family Services Alliance team. The speakers and music were not just excellent because of their talents, they were wonderful people. Thanks for the Possibility Packs and for making this a very memorable day of my life.

You don't need an entire symphony when you're listening to the violin being played by the highly acclaimed and accomplished Jenny Oaks Baker. From the fun to the serene, Jenny's repertoire of music is an impressive musical feast (symphony not included).

Line Upon Line
Life isn't usually about preplanned, prescheduled "big moments." And it's not often about taking long, dramatic jumps. Rather, it's step by step and line upon line. Just like a quilt is sewn in small squares rather than big chunks, see how the finished product of our life can be built in much the same way.

Journalist; Award-winning screenwriter and author, including the forthcoming biography of President Thomas S. Monson
Looking Out for the One
Anyone who knows President Monson knows his particular gift of reaching out to “the one.” Sharing little-known experiences from the life of the prophet and her own experience studying that life as his biographer, Heidi offers a powerful message about the importance of looking out for the one.

The Miracle of Redemption
We often think "Savior" and "Redeemer" are synonymous, but they actually describe two separate aspects of Christ's mission. We know what Jesus saved us from, but do we think about what He saved us for? The miracle of the Atonement is not just that we can be cleansed, but that we can be changed.

B.S., therapeutic recreation, Brigham Young University; author, Hard Times and Holy Places
Smoothing Out the Rough Spots
Our life's tests and difficulties can refine us; the rough spots in our hearts can be made smooth. We can become polished as we turn to the Savior. Kris's story shows how God used the challenge of going blind to help her see who she was meant to become. And you will see who YOU are meant to become too.

Law degree, Santa Clara Law School; professional life coach; author, In Trying Times, Just Keep Trying
Blaze Your Own Trail
Women past and present have found themselves in situations needing to do something that has never been done before. And we are no different. The life you were meant to live will never be the same life as that of the women next to you. So get prepared to do something different and blaze your own trail.
Morning show co-host, KSL News radio (Salt Lake City); author, Change It Up
No Woman Is An Island
None of us can do this life alone, nor are we supposed to. And while our family relationships must take top priority, there is much to be said for the good that can come from our connections as women. Friendship is a powerful thing, and we can be better friends for each other-and for ourselves.
