Your experiences:

It was fabulous. Loved the speakers the enviroment and everything about it. I hope some of those same talks are coming to Sacramento:) hint, hint.
—Sheila

I loved the weekend in general. Most all the presenters really helped me focus on becoming someone who believes Heavenly Father when He says, "You CAN do my will." I found the presenters that used the scriptures and especially talked about the Savior were the most helpful. I hope all the presenters in the future will focus more on the Savior and use the scriptures. It really makes it that much better. Thanks for the uplift!

Children Will Listen: Reflections On Mothering

Enjoy a unique “cabaret-style” performance featuring music and musings with Macy Robison celebrating the women and mothers in our lives—daughters, stepdaughters, sisters, friends, teachers, wives, stepmothers, daughters-in-law and mothers. We’ll bring Macy. You bring the tissues.

Virginia H. Pearce

Master’s degree in social work; former counselor in general Young Women’s presidency; author of A Heart Like His

Listen Up, This is Your Mother Talking!
While you might only have one mother, luckily we can be mothered by countless others if we are smart enough to listen.  Virginia will put us in touch with some of our spiritual mothers--the women of the scriptures and the Restoration, who have so much to say that is more relevant today than ever before.

Laurel Christensen

Director, Time Out for Women programs & events; talks on cd include You Are What You Believe, God Knows You're Amazing and Who's That Girl .

The Faith Experiment
What do you get when you take a “worst case scenario” girl and invite her to try something called “The Optimist Experiment”? You get a woman who is passionate about sharing how understanding the power of faith in your life can help you better live God’s “best case scenario” plan for you.

SATURDAYPROGRAM

Hilary Weeks

Top-selling female LDS artist; singer; songwriter; multiple Pearl Award winner; albums include He Hears Me, Day of Praise, and most recent, If I Only Had Today

Musical Presentation

She's an important part of TOFW because she really is just one of us. Hilary is a wife and a mother first and foremost; being a brilliant performer is secondary. She's funny and witty but has depth and substance as she shares her testimony of Jesus Christ through her songs.

Emily Watts

Senior editor, Deseret Book Company; mother of five; author, I Hate It When Exercise Is the Answer

Habitually Happy To Be The Mom
Are there habits in your mothering that you wish were a little different? Do your "default behaviors" ever make you miss seeing all the possibilities in your family? It's never too late (and it's easier than you think) to develop habits that will help you be even more happy to be the mom.

Amanda Dickson

Morning show co-host, KSL News radio (Salt Lake City); author, Change It Up

No Woman Is An Island
None of us can do this life alone, nor are we supposed to.  And while our family relationships must take top priority, there is much to be said for the good that can come from our connections as women. Friendship is a powerful thing, and we can be better friends for each other-and for ourselves.

Matthew Baldwin

Corporate executive, teacher, husband, father, and author of, Snow Rising

The Problem with Conformity

There are some things that are important for us to conform to (like living the Ten Commandments and keeping our covenants). But the gospel of Jesus Christ is not a "cookie cutter" gospel. As individuals, with all our diversity, personality, and complexity, we each have a place at the table.

Kris Belcher

B.S., therapeutic recreation, Brigham Young University; author, Hard Times and Holy Places

Smoothing Out the Rough Spots
Our life's tests and difficulties can refine us; the rough spots in our hearts can be made smooth. We can become polished as we turn to the Savior. Kris's story shows how God used the challenge of going blind to help her see who she was meant to become. And you will see who YOU are meant to become too.

Anthony Sweat

Full-time religious educator; co-author of the best-selling series “WHY?” and “HOW?”

God is Fair (Even When Life Isn't)

Sometimes life's circumstances can seem unfair. Yet the scriptures teach us that "God is just." Examining life through a gospel perspective will help us minimize comparisons with others' lives and exercise faith that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is the great equalizer of life's seeming inequities.
