Thank you for sharing this SWEET experience with us!

Event recap:

What an event! In the many years we’ve been doing TOFW, we have never experienced anything quite like our TWO KICK-OFF EVENTS in Ogden this past weekend. And it’s not because it was our biggest crowd or our most faraway place. And it’s not because any other city hasn’t been equally as wonderful. There was just something about a new year, a new theme and a new city that really got us excited for what is to come!

It was a great way to begin our 2009 TOUR.

Our theme for the year, Sweet Assurance, had its debut release. Time Out was certain this would be an inspirational theme for 2009. But it wasn’t until attendees came ready to learn and presenters began to discuss the sweet assurances we have through our knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ that something magical happened. In a world of uncertainty and unrest, we can take comfort in “the certainty that comes when you know life’s truths.” It’s important to be reminded of this because it’s sometimes easy to forget.

We can’t even WAIT to see how the rest of the 2009 tour will play out.

The Time Out for Women presenter team welcomed four new faces in Ogden. Wendy Ulrich, author of Forgiving Ourselves, Emily Freeman, author of Woman at the Well and 21 Days Closer to Christ, DeAnne Flynn, author of The Time-Starved Family, and Kris Belcher, author of Hard Times and Holy Places. They will be a great addition to our team.

Your experiences:

Wonderful time. So inspirational. Great time to listen to great uplifting music and presenters with friends and family. Thank you for coming to Ogden. Hope you come back again. I also helped volunteered and just have to say the TOFW team is awesome to work with. Thank you for the opportunity.
—Nicci

This was the most amazing experience. I have been to a TOFW event previously, but this was far and away the best one! I have had many many struggles, and it was through this event that I finally feel like I am getting better. Thank you.
—Jana

My friend and I went on the 23 and 24! It was so wonderful! I'm so glad I took the opportunity to try something new. Every speaker and music number touched me in some way. I had to hurry home and journal all my notes into complete thoughts. I won't ever forget it, and will make it a tradition. I don't want any of my friends to miss out on this again!
—Rebekah

Wonderful. There are so many words to describe my day(s) at Time Out for Women. It is an experience that everyone needs to attend. I was on such a spiritual high for the next day... and continue to be. I wish I could go every weekend! Thank you for creating the tour. Until next time!
—Melissa

This was my fifth time to attend TOFW and they have all been awesome! Every woman in the church should take the time to attend your events. It is uplifting, fun and a great way to spend a day with your friends, sisters or just any female that you value. I bought my friend a ticket for Christmas and took her. She hugged me and thanked me many times for bringing her with me! THANKS SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS AVAILABLE and keep them coming!!!!
—Jan

This was my 5th Time Out For Women and I feel that it was the best one so far. I enjoyed all the presenters, but especially enjoyed Kris Belcher. She was amazing! I took my 32 year old daughter for her 1st time and she loved it. She has been inactive for a few years and this was her 1st time spending a night away from her family since her kids were born. She felt like she really got her batteries recharged. Today she just visited with a friend that she hasn't seen for years, This friend has just been through drug rehab. They were talking and my daughter told her what an incredible weekend she had just. Her friend told her that she really needed that and we plan to bring her friend with us to the Time Out in Logan. It was one of the most spiritual experiences of my life.
—Lennie

It would have been nice to attend all of Friday day and night at the same cost as thurs/fri, or fri/sat. I thought it was great but coud only set aside one day with my schedule.
—Diane

All I can say is truely AMAZING !!!!!!! You put on quite a show, my first one ...and I am already planning on St. George. What an inspired program. What I know....is that this just became my favorite tradition to do with my girlfriends !! The most uplifting experience I have been a part of. Cry from laughing one minute cuz they're cracking a joke....Cry a couple minutes later...cuz the spirit is so strong. Thank you for helping me remember, with Sweet Assurance, that I AM a daughter of God ! And I KNOW that He lives. CharLynn Blacker Spanish Fork, Utah

I just want you to know I had an incredible experience at Time Out for Women. Especially Friday night. As if Ardeth Kapp wasn't already more than enough, what Mark Mabry had to say that night was truly life changing for me, and I appreciated that he listened to the spirit and told a story he wouldn't usually tell. It was truly incredible.

Musical Performance

Abe is just one of those people that you love instantly. In addition to being an actor and well-known performer, he is also a father of four children, all still in "single digit" ages. He understands the importance of a "time out" and will entertain and inspire you with great songs.

Singer/songwriter; producer; multiple Pearl Award winner; solo albums include Jenny Jordan Frogley and recently released Beautiful Life

Musical Presentation

Her resume is pretty impressive. She has sung with everyone from Ray Charles to The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. She's a producer and a songwriter, but only after she's a wife and a mom. Finally out with her own albums of songs, we are thrilled to welcome Jenny to the TOFW family.

She's an important part of TOFW because she really is just one of us. Hilary is a wife and a mother first and foremost; being a brilliant performer is secondary. She's funny and witty but has depth and substance as she shares her testimony of Jesus Christ through her songs.

Skills from the Scriptures (for Good Times & Bad)

When Brent Top was asked to serve as a mission president, he thought he knew what it meant to rely on the Lord. But it wasn't until a personal crisis of confidence that he learned important lessons about what it really means to "focus on Christ" and allow Him to lift and strengthen us. Brent shares key spiritual skills that, when put into practice daily, will sustain you during good times and keep you from sinking during the bad.

B.S., Therapeutic Recreation, Brigham Young University; author, Hard Times and Holy Places

Facing the Sun

Being diagnosed with cancer and ultimately losing her sight initially left Kris Belcher in a hopeless state. But, she learned that when she walked, facing the light of the sun, the light from THE Son filled her dark world with a light only He could give.

Marriage and family counselor; nationally recognized speaker and trainer; author, Happily Forever After and If God Loves Me, Why This?

The Parable of the Training Wheels…and other Proofs of God’s Love

Do you remember the first time you rode a bike without training wheels? How did it go? Did you fall once or twice? Did you have a few bruises to show it? Every life phase has a period of "training time" before we should expect to ride without falling. God, as the ultimate parent, seems to be more patient with our "training time" than we are. Kim teaches four truths that will help you put the falls and the bruises of life in a little better perspective as you see God's love in your experiences.
