Thank you for sharing this SWEET experience with us!

Your experiences:

As usual, TOFW was fabulous! I came home and was more patient and loving that I have been in a while. I evaluated my feelings and journaled a bit afterward and discovered that I was, in fact, sweetly assured!

It was fantastic! Looking forward to your coming back to Seattle with Time Out for Couples! Please!

What I know: I know that I can teach my family to communicate. Recently divorced and re married, 23 years of no communication and abuse have made this a hot topic for me! But I realized that just last week when I asked my daughter if she was done with her homework and she said, no, I told her to go get it done. A little later I asked her again, I'm half done. Told her to go finish. She went to her room, closed the door for about 10 minutes then came out and (without tears amazing for a 13yr old!) That if she does her homework 2 days before it is due, she forgets to hand it in. She has found that if she does half one day and the rest the day before it is due she remembers to hand it in on the due date. "Mom, I don't know why, it just works for me that way!" She intelligently thought it out and came to me and calmly communicated with me! This was huge! Yes, I do some things right, Yes, I can teach my family to communicate! Thank You so much!

I got so much out of Emily Freeman's discussion on how the miracle of the loaves and the fishes is all about Abundance. I came home and studied the account in John Chapter 6 and found additional insights into what the Savior was teaching us. I ended up with an outpouring of spiritual "loaves and fishes" as I studies and received "over and above" what I originally saw and understood. I am in awe and humbled by the feast I received and how I was "filled" and it was all sparked by what Emily taught us. THANK YOU!!

The Parable of the Training Wheels…and other Proofs of God’s Love

Do you remember the first time you rode a bike without training wheels? How did it go? Did you fall once or twice? Did you have a few bruises to show it? Every life phase has a period of "training time" before we should expect to ride without falling. God, as the ultimate parent, seems to be more patient with our "training time" than we are. Kim teaches four truths that will help you put the falls and the bruises of life in a little better perspective as you see God's love in your experiences.

Love Life—and See Good Days

It sounds like a great bumper sticker, doesn’t it? Did you know it’s actually a scripture in the New Testament? Based on this invitation from Peter (nearly 2,000 years ago), Emily Freeman shares a simple, but tried and true, recipe for living a more hopeful life.
