Product Description

At the age of seventeen I was asked by a leader to paint a tree for a "Tree of Life" activity she was planning. After prayerful consideration my eyes were opened and I saw this as an opportunity to do more than paint a simple tree.

This image is a representation of the inspiration I received. I envisioned a young woman putting forth effort, even to the very end, by stretching upward to obtain her gift, an oversized fruit symbolizing the huge reward God has in store for us. I could see God's face and outstretched arms in the tree, a reminder of His overwhelming love for us, and of the atonement of Jesus Christ which makes the "greatest of all the gifts of God" possible.

May this inspire you to continue pressing forward.

About the Author

Chelsea Fuller

Chelsea was born in Orem, UT, in 1993, and lived there until the age of four when she moved with her family to Idaho Falls, ID. She currently lives in Idaho Falls with her husband Jackson and their cat Ginger. She is a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho where she is an Art major with an emphasis in Illustration.

Chelsea has always been mesmerized by the beauty of the world around her. When she was quite young her parents gave up on tee ball because Chelsea preferred sitting on "that white thing" (her name for second base) and studying the dandelions instead of watching for fly balls. It was during this timeframe that Chelsea developed a love for art. Her parents and teachers were regularly amazed by the detailed drawings and beautiful paintings she was able to produce.

Throughout her lifetime, Chelsea has won many art awards including a merit award from the LDS Church History Museum for her "The Greatest Gift" painting. An accomplished muralist, Chelsea's dream is to someday paint a mural in an LDS temple. Until that time she plans to publish children's books, as well as continue to paint images that will uplift and inspire.

Symbolism and emotion is what inspires Chelsea¹s work. "When people view my artwork I want them to feel like they're in a different place; that they're no longer burdened with the stresses of the world, and that they feel the joy, happiness, and peace I expect we will feel when we are embraced in the arms of our maker."

We ordered 5x7 prints for New Beginnings. The prints were placed in clear, plastic free-standing frames and given to each of the young women.
The YW loved the prints! They are beautiful, inspirational, and go perfectly with the mutual theme of "Pressing Forward"!
