“Marriage isn’t any big thing, it’s a lot of little things,” the old saying goes. What little things could have the biggest impact for you and your spouse? Rather than a deep theological study of marriage, this presentation focuses on five things you can do today to make a big difference in your most important relationship. Try a few of these simple, actionable steps, and you’ll notice a difference almost immediately! Using the scriptures, stories, and quotations from Church leaders, 5 Things is a fun “marriage retreat” experience for the cost of a single CD!
Talk on CD: 1 CD
I listened to the audio book and enjoyed it very much. He gives 5 ideas of things we can start working on right now to strengthen and bless our marriages. His advice is great for those who are newly wed and still in the honeymoon phase of marriage to those who have been married 50 plus years. Every couple can learn something from this. I listened to it just myself but I would recommend listening to this talk with your spouse for both of you to get ideas on how to help your marriage get stronger and more enjoyable. Great audio book for couples!
I really enjoy listening to this talk. It helped me to see ways that I could improve our marriage. Honestly, you can't make someone else change (free agency anyone?) but you can change how you treat others. Marriage can be like a roller coaster. We have our low points but I love my husband even more today than I did 12 years ago. This talk helps me to put things back into perspective and encourages me to continue strengthening our bond.
I listen to the CD and it was wonderful... A lot of good ideas in it.... Thanks John for this book
My husband & I listened to this on the way home on a vacation. Bytheway is, as always, enjoyable, which is one reason I picked this CD. And I must say that this has made a difference in our marriage. Good advice, good stuff, good way to end our vacation.
John is always a fun time. I love his way of speaking. He says how it is without guilt and shame. But he lets you know what you should be doing. I left it for my son and his wife to listen to and then I will listen again.
I love this talk on CD. I bought it for my newlywed daughter but have listened to it myself. John Bytheway gives lots of ways to help you be a better wife and have a better marriage - without making you feel guilty for things you are doing wrong. He is funny and you will laugh a lot. I have been trying to apply them in my life and they are helping. A happy marriage helps to have a happy home and family. Thanks for all you do John.
I was so impressed with this CD that I recommended it to the Bishop to use for marriage counseling. I've been working on doing these things for/with my husband and it's been a great pick me up for our marriage. THANKS, Bishop Bytheway, for some great advice.
