Product Description

Mike Thomas has a problem. His oldest son has dropped out of high school, stormed out of the house, and left the family in tatters. In response, his heartsick wife has become withdrawn and emotionally lost. Then, at the university where Mike works, someone begins leaving yellow notes on his desk. To his surprise, the notes direct him on a journey through the Book of Mormon and particularly the story of the children of Ammon. They lead him toward some surprising answers about how to heal his life and reclaim his family. And through it all he is left to wonder: who is leaving the notes and why? And what is it they want him to do? Told in parable format, this book offers practical advice about improving relationships while providing fresh insights about crucial gospel doctrines.

I have learned so much from reading this book. In a very easy to read and simple way I discovered that we all have swords that need to buried as we strive to build family relationships. I'm grateful for the advice and counsel given about valuable gospel principals and how they can influence our lives. I would highly recommend this book to anyone experiencing any difficulty in their lives or know someone else who is.

I also was intrigued by the name and read the book jacket. I couldn't put this book down! A wonderful story that we can all relate to and in an enlightening way. Mr. Hinckley has done an excellent job of sharing gospel principles with us--study the scriptures, pray alone and with a spouse, pray for wayward children, and serve them with love and understanding.

I was intrigued by the title and wasn't sure what to expect. This book really has a powerful message about healing relationships. It impacted my thinking like the Peacegiver did a few years ago. I'd say this is a must read and will definitely improve family relationships.
