It is a wonderful book and I recommend it highly
I love this book! The illustrations are beautiful and the story follows along with the Christmas Nativity story, so it's perfect. You start reading this book a week before Christmas, and then every day you read another page and add the person discussed to the Nativity scene. There's also a question, activity, and ornament that goes with each day. I love how it brings your family together each night and helps them really ponder on the true meaning of Christmas. I did receive a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. You may read my full review on my book blog: the-readathon.blogspot.com.
This book is just as incredible as the other books put out by this amazing team. Emily Belle Freeman is just awesome! Her love of the scriptures and the story of Christmas is apparent on every page. It is amazing that she worked with the creators of the Ites books to collaborate on making a children’s version of her adult version of “Celebrating a Christ Centered Christmas”
The co-author David Butler is equally amazing! His previous books have always inspired me to be better. He is really good at explaining deep doctrine in words that children can understand! This book helps my family get so excited about the people of the Christmas story. It makes everyone more personal and the greatest examples for us! But the illustrations are so magical and whimsical. The illustrations are what first capture you and the words keep you coming back! Beautiful, beautiful book!
I read this book and immediately thought how great this would be too give to all my grandchildren ! Five stars !!!
This book is so Beautiful! The message is amazing! It makes me remember the true reason for the season! I especially love that the Shepherds are shown running to see the baby Jesus. I love the imagery of that page. I love the excitement and hope that I can remember to also run toward my Savior!
I loved this book. I really enjoyed how the author used scriptures, thought-provoking questions, and beautiful illustrations to help the reader understand the importance of each figure in the nativity. The encouragement of various service projects throughout the book remind you that Christmas is about our Savior, Jesus Christ. I especially liked the questions associated with each figure of the nativity allowing families an opportunity to discuss the importance of that sacred night and what we can do to keep Jesus at the heart of our celebration. This is a perfect book for Family Home Evening, especially for families of young children or grandparents looking for a perfect Christmas gift for their little grandchildren.
