Fun book. Looking forward to the next one!

I'm a fan of Rachelle's books, and this is no exception. Though, I confess, the beginning was a little slow for me. Later I understood, but at first it was hard to get into the character and setting development when I wanted to get to the heart of the plot. :) Since this is the beginning of a series, though I understand that there has to be some development in order for readers to understand what was going on--and there's plenty going on in this book! In fact, by the end Adri solves not just one, but three mysteries (admittedly one was inadvertent). That's enough to keep anybody guessing.

Clean Romantic Mystery!

I've been looking forward to reading this book since I participated in the cover reveal in April. I really needed to read a book like this! It was fun, with just enough mystery to keep me guessing the whole time. Adrielle Pyper (Adri) is a wedding planner. She's just moved to Sun Valley, Idaho, from San Francisco, shortly after her best friend was murdered three days before her wedding. She and her assistant, Lorea, have recently started carrying wedding gowns. They are currently working with two brides--the bridezilla, Sylvia, a soap star diva, and Natalie, Lorea's best friend who is sweet and engaged to Sylvia's ex-boyfriend, Brock, a movie star.

They start out receiving their first shipment of gowns and Sylvia's alternate gown is missing and it looks like their shipment was tampered with. They know Sylvia won't take the news well and plan to convince her to go with her first choice. Adri takes Natalie's dress home to take out the hem and finds something that shouldn't be there. She's nervous about it and not sure what to do since she needs the dress for Natalie's wedding.

Adri is interested in Dallas, who had waited on her table when she went to dinner with Lorea. He asked her out and they had a great time. Then, she meets Luke Stetson, a gorgeous, Harley riding attorney who is set against marriage. And then there's the hottie who she's never met but sees when she goes for a run. Dallas starts pursuing her and he seems absolutely perfect, but why can't she get the other men off her mind?

There's a lot going on in this book, and I loved how everything came together in the end. I would forget about one certain storyline and then it would appear again and bring up more questions. I liked Dallas until we met Luke. Her conversations with Luke were much more entertaining, but I also could see why someone like Dallas would appeal to her. He was attentive, persistent and bold. Luke didn't say anything good about her profession and kept his true identity from her so she wasn't sure she could trust him. Both Dallas and Luke kept appearing and I knew who I liked better but wasn't sure which one she would choose until the end. It then became very clear as to who she should end up with and I was very happy with the ending. It was satisfactory but also leaves an opening for more!

Each chapter starts with a tip from Adri's website, www.mashedpotatoesandcrafts.com. There are ideas on the ring pillow, place cards, food, centerpieces, the sendoff and much more. Most of the tips she gave at the beginning were incorporated into the chapter. Be sure to check it out--there are tutorials and recipes with some great step-by-step pictures. The tips can be used for much more than just weddings. I love it!

4.5 Actually - GREAT STORY :)

I love it when a clean story comes around that I get a chance to review. This book was such a fun read. I love mystery. This book was super cute also. I know, sounds kind of like an oxymoron, but it was mysterious and cute :).
I just loved Adri. Adri is a wedding planner along with her assistant Lorea. They are a great couple of girls hoping to take their business to a whole new level. They decide to add wedding dresses to their store. It was suppose to be a good thing.
Adri has a two brides she is planning weddings for and one is Sylvia and she is a bridezilla, The other is Natalie, Lorea's friend, and she is super sweet. It's fun to see the differences. I could honestly not understand why anyone would be a bridezilla. It's so sad. No one likes mean girls.
When they get their first shipment of dresses there is already a problem. Some are missing, and one has a rip in it. Adri takes one home to take out the hem for Lorea and she finds a surprise in the hem of the dress. One that she is sure that dangerous people are after. Instead of calling the police right away she hides what she has found, and the worlds gets a little more dangerous for her after that.
There is something in Adri's past that has kept her closed off from others for a while. That is until Lorea convinces her to go out with someone. Lorea decides to go out on a date with Dallas, a man she had gone out once before with. She is so happy that she decided to go out again. She also has a mysterious hottie that she has been seeing on her runs.
A new lawyer rolls into town by the name of Clay Stetson. Okay, how can you not love the name Stetson. Hello! Clay and Adri don't really hit it off right away. Clay is a total cynic when it comes to marriage. Clay is handling Natalie and Brock's prenup. Clay seems to be showing up everywhere now along with Dallas.
I loved this story. There is so much going on and I love how it connects in the end. Again, I thought I knew who the bad guy was. Then I thought there might be more than one bad guy.

There is a lot going on in this story. There is the wedding planning, the mysterious package in the dress, and then there is Adri's past. There is so much to love about this book!!!

If you like mystery, and romance then this is a great book for you.

I loved how every chapter had a cute wedding themed dish, craft, etc. There are some in the book I plan on using for a nephew that is getting married soon.

Source: I was given this book by Shadow Mountain in return for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way for this review. These are my own PERSONAL thoughts on the book.

Great characters with interesting plot twists.

I have a great fondness for cozy murder mysteries as long as they are clean and not too graphic. So this book was just my cup of tea. I enjoyed the characters, the plot, and the setting. The inclusion of the crafts and crafting website were a nice touch. There were a lot of really fun ideas included. I especially enjoyed Adri as a character, her feistiness and determination to succeed in her business despite some pretty big challenges made her easy to care about. The book was full of other great characters too, like Adri's assistant, Lorea, Luke, the divorce attorney, Tony, the police officer, and Adri's family. The two different mysteries and the confusing romantic situations Adri finds herself in make for a sympathetic and interesting read. I'm definitely eager to read more in this series.

Page Turning Mystery

I am a fan of Rachelle's books. I know that she is amazing at character development and setting a quick pace. This book lived up to my expectations.

Adrielle Pyper is an entrepreneur. She recently opened her own wedding planning business. To start things off she has two high profile weddings. They take up a huge chunk of her time and help her cope with the murder of her best friend.

Adri and her partner, Lorea, add wedding dresses to their services. The first shipment is vandalized and the mystery begins! Adri has an inquisitive mind and a strong will to have her business succeed. These two driving forces propel her into situations where pieces began to fit together and she uncovers the mystery.

There is a little bit of romance in the story. Adri has a lot on her mind and plate, she has a hard time finding the time to pursue a relationship. There are two potential romantic interests, but it's not a love triangle. Adri isn't a person to play games and is, for the most part, upfront about her feelings and intentions.

The book has some surprising twists and turns that kept me reading. I was very happy with the outcome of the book and hope that there will be more "Wedding Planner Mystery's" in the future.

Mystery, suspense, murder and romance all intriguingly tied together in one very fun walk-down-the-isle wedding story!

Adrielle has opened her own wedding planning business and her business card reads:

"Adrielle Pyper's Dream Weddings
Where happily ever after is your destination."

But happily ever after isn't suppose to be so hard!

Working with 'bridezillas.'
Having her store vandalized.
Wedding dresses stolen.
Threatening pictures left about.
Two men vying for her heart.
And a secret within the folds of satin and lace.

Adri will have to sort through her feelings of the past and decide how to move forward with the future "before she becomes the next victim."

"A delightful blend of mystery, toe-curling kisses,
humor, and spine-tingling thrills!"

It got my heart racing. Also made me think what would I do in Adrielle's place. This story has mystery, heart, great setting, craft ideas, strong likeable characters, and is a clean read.

The setting is Sun Valley Idaho. One of the weddings is set up in the mountain by hot springs. Makes me want to go there.

Adrielle Pyper has come back to Idaho after things went wrong in San Frisco. She has opened her own wedding planning business. She is single. They have just added wedding dresses to the shop.

While unpicking a wedding dress hem she feels something hard in the dress and weird shapes. It is in her biggest wedding.
There shop was broken into. Wedding dresses were missing, another dress had damage. Who is trying to ruin her business?

Adri has two guys that want to date her. The one is shy and sweet. The other is hot but does not think much about weddings and marriage.

Before every chapter has interesting craft ideas for weddings..

I enjoyed reading Diamond Rings are Deadly Things. I would read more books of this series.

I was given this ebook to read and in return agreed to give honest review of it. Received ebook from Net Galley and Shadow Mountain.
