Kennedy Hansen is funny, loving, and seems to be a typical child—until she inexplicably begins to fall. It takes years for a diagnosis...juvenile Batten disease, an extremely rare, terrible, and terminal prognosis. There is no cure for Batten disease and after living only sixteen years, Kennedy leaves behind a great legacy of love and friendship. But her story doesn't end at her death—in fact, that's when the miracles really begin.

I knew this movie would be good but I am surprised how much better it was then I expected. Having a special angel I felt connected to the tenderness and spiritual lessons. Also knowing a wonderful family who had 2 sons with Batten's made it that much more tender. A family movie ! Watching the credits seeing the family and others made the ending better. Then seeing the photo of the two sweet brothers I know who battled Batten's with bravery.
This is a movie that you do not wish to share with some non- member or struggling friends. Feel them out with 17 miracles or Coleville first. The character depth was underwhelming. Kennedy is this sassy unapologic child who becomes a prim young woman with no emotional impact as her trials come to light. The first part about a deceased Grandma rocking away a baby was eye rolling. Then it goes on with older teens saying 'Daddy'. The sister goes missing a lot in the movie. There just didn't seem time to even care about anyone. I love supporting church based movies, but this was too much and not enough.
Watching this movie was such an amazing experience because it remanded me of how close we are form heaven and that God has a perfect plan for each of us. If you have a friend that is needs to be remained of this, this movie would be the best gift ever that you can give.
Another outstanding film by T.C. Christensen!! This was such an inspiring movie for me. As I watched how the life of Kennedy unfolded and saw the great amount of love she had for others, it made me want to be a better person. This movie is perfect for the whole family...grab a box of tissue and enjoy a great film!!
Best line at General Conference, “There are no coincidences.” Love Kennedy is a gift designed by The spirit, with the courageous work done by Bro. Christensen, Kennedy and her family. It is a testimony of the miracles and designes in our lives which testify daily of God’s love for each and every one of us. So much light in a world that craves it!
A great Sunday family movie💝.

"Once in a great while a film comes along that is more than entertainment -- it is a human experience." So wrote Howard Pearson for the Deseret News in 1955 for the film A MAN CALLED PETER. This was a film that the prophet David O. McKay had endorsed in the April Conference. Pearson's feelings for that inspiring film could well be applied to LOVE, KENNEDY. For it is indeed far more than an entertainment -- it is a spiritual experience. I returned to see it six times during its brief theatrical run and having just watched the Blu-ray release find that I feel the same about it. This may well be T.C. Christensen's masterpiece. Very few films depict the power and beauty of the gospel so well as this film does. Even the Extras are rewarding. This is a film that is worthy of any fine library. DVD or BLU-RAY it is a MUST OWN!
'Love, Kennedy' is a fantastic film for the entire family. It will have you laughing one minute and reaching for a tissue box the next. It is a heart-felt, faith-promoting, true story with an underlying message that each of us can leave a legacy regardless of how long we are allowed to live here on this earth. I highly recommend ALL to see this film!!
