Garobed “Garo” Khandanian is our LDS Branch President in Beirut, Lebanon. He is a talented jeweler who works in Sterling silver. To commemorate the 175th birthday of the Relief Society, he has created for Deseret Book and Zion’s Mercantile a beautiful bracelet and necklace. At the organizational meeting of the Relief Society, Emma Smith said, “We are going to ‘do something extraordinary,’” and those words are etched into the bracelet. Joseph Smith then offered a five-dollar gold piece as the first donation. A replica of that coin appears in the necklace. These would be lovely gifts for women in your life and a great way to commemorate this anniversary. We have already purchased them for our family. See them at deseretbook.com or in any Deseret Book Store. And let me say, they are stunning when you see them—even better than in the photos.

I love this. It's origin gives it so much meaning and depth! I bought mine in store however it's much more beautiful then pictured here on the website! It's gorgeous! And an amazing symbol of Joseph Smiths faith in Emma and his faith in the women and future women of the church!
