Product Description

For many parents, holding daily family scripture study seems almost impossible.

Confronted by children who find the practice “boring” discouraged by past attempts, many parents have given up, learning to live instead with the guilt such failure brings.

Well, here is hope!

Family Scripture Study is a lively fireside on how to fit regular family scripture study into our hectic schedules. Elder Gene R. Cook promises that the practice is not only possible but can also be mane enjoyable, exciting, and spiritually rewarding.

Citing his experience with his own family, Elder Cook demonstrates by role playing with participants in the fireside, how prayer, testimony, music, expressions of love, patience, variety, and even humor can be used to make family scriptures study work. (A printed summary of these principles is included with the tapes.)

Here is practical help for parents who are seeking to foster greater unity, love, and spirituality in their family — taught by a father who loves the scriptures and has found a way to help his family love them too.

A companion tape entitled Personal Scripture Study shows how to conduct a personal study of the scriptures under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
