Inspiring! Humbling and instructive. I saw the movie while visiting Utah recently, then found the audio book on Deseret Bookshelf. An amazing account of the Lord’s hand in the Restoration, as the gospel grew in Tonga through missionary work and righteous living. Thanks for sharing, Elder Grover. You and your wife, Jean, and your family are amazing.
I just returned from a date night to the movie. My husband and I saw "The Other Side of Heaven 2: Fire of Faith" on the big screen. We enjoyed watching the stories portrayed in the film and the acting skills of the cast. I cried more than once. The faith of the Groberg family inspires me. I recommend this movie as a good use of time. (The actress who plays Sister Groberg looks more like the real woman this time.)
This is a beautiful book of the continuing story of Elder Groberg and his service among the people of Tonga. In this sequel, Elder Groberg is called as Mission President to serve in Tonga, with his wife and daughters by his side.
The first word that came to my mind when reading this book was Faith. In faith, they accepted the call to serve; in faith, they packed up their little family and trusted in the Lord that they would be watched over and cared for; In faith, they pressed forward and never gave up, even amidst the trials they endured. This is a faith-filled story perfect for anyone wanting to feel strengthened in their own lives...a must read!
I loved learning from the Grobergs and their experiences with the Lord. It was so uplifting and enlightening. I highly recommend it!!
