It doesn't matter what question, trial, or success we experience—each traces back to a choice. The choice is always ours, and each choice can be a step forward on the path of life we want for ourselves.

Unabridged audio book
I love her life experience because Noelle Pikus Pace uses great scriptures and inspiring quotes to elicit her thoughts very well. I loved it so much I read her life experience in two days. I related to her on many personal levels. It really doesn't get better than that knowing that, regardless, of where you come from you do make a difference. It doesn't matter the setbacks, so long as you keep to the morals and standards of the gospel principles you will see the blessings and strength, even courage pour and flow in your life. I had the opportunity to hear and witness in her experiences in person. I know the spirit was equally strong there as it was for me reading her book. So, I bid you to pick up her book, read, listen, feel, and apply her advice to your life. I am certain we will all benefit from Noelle.
Noelle's story is remarkable, she won the Silver Medal in Skeleton during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia. Not many people get to say they won a medal in the Olympics. Not many of us will even dream of that, but Noelle shows us how accomplishing our goals and our dreams is a matter of focus, and trust. Through personal anecdotes, Noelle illustrates the importance of focusing on the important things, like rooting ourselves in the gospel, and serving others.
The audio book is read by the author, it is great to hear her story in her own voice. What an amazing story. A great read, and a great story to share with dreamers young and old.
I love Olympians and learning about them because I think what they do is amazing! I cannot comprehend the hours and hours of practice it takes to work to become the best in the world at one particular thing. I just don't have the discipline and attention span to do that but I love to read about those who do.
What I love about this book is that Noelle is so down to earth. She is honest about her life experiences and willing to share what she has learned from both the good and the bad. I loved her chapter titled, "A Well-Balanced Life." She and her husband became so involved in playing softball that they neglected other things and it wasn't pretty when they realized what it cost them. She also talks about setting goals in different areas of life to work on becoming a well-rounded person.
Throughout the book, she shares her experiences in training for the Olympics, overcoming loneliness, her accident and how she came back from it, retirement and her decision to come out of retirement and try for a medal again. There's so much more, too. Her husband, Janson, is so supportive of her and they make a great team!
I love the layout of this book. There are great quotes and pictures. It's not too long and it was so easy to read one more chapter. This is a great book for teens since Noelle is a great role model for young women. I love the advice she gave as she contemplated helping her daughter through struggles as she gets older and compared it to what the Savior might say to each of us when we want to give up. I would recommend this to everyone, especially those who are looking for inspiration and motivation!
What an inspirational story! I loved this book! I love her message of dreaming big and then working hard to achieve that dream. I love that she discusses how we all have the choice to make today great or miserable--it's all in our attitude! I love that she talks about the importance of setting goals and following through. I enjoyed reading about her path to the Olympics, and how it may not have been easy, but she didn't allow anything to bring her down. Her message about having integrity is spot on. Every middle-grader and YA should read this book, along with adults. It's clean and I highly recommend it. You may read my full review on my book blog: the-readathon.blogspot.com.

A wonderful book full of inspiring stories of persistence in the face of loneliness, discouragement, and tragic accidents. Noelle Pikus Pace thrilled a lot of people including herself when she won a silver medal in skeleton at the Olympics in Sochi, but it was a long difficult road to get there. In this book she describes some of the key experiences she had a long the way that helped her land on that podium. I found the book to be warm and heart-felt and easy to appreciate. The stories helped me to consider carefully some of the choices I'm making in my own life that I might want to change to help me become the person I want to be rather than settling for who I already am. A truly wonderful book that I can recommend whole-heartedly to anyone who wants to read not only some really interesting stories about some of the experience's Pace has had as an athlete, but some of her struggles and successes as a person.
This book is amazing. I read it cover to cover in less than 24 hours. The real life stories with practical application bring this book to life. It was awesome to hear about the inspiration behind Noelle's quest for a medal.
The book is incredible. It should be required reading for all married couples. Janson was and is an awesome father and husband. They set a great example for us to follow. Young women will be impressed with Noelle's impressive stance on modesty. Hearing the story of what happened to Noelle being hit by the bobsled is astounding.
