I hate to cry, but I love a good movie that can move me to tears...in a good way. This movie is a great reminded that Christ does know each of us personally and individually. It's also a great reminder of faith. Rebekah is fascinated by Jesus, yet her mother is skeptical. It's easy to place myself in this situation and wonder what I would do and how I would act.
This is a sweet and tender story that I plan on watching more than once. It's not only a good movie for this Christmas season, but for Easter, as well. Or really, any time.

I held back tears in relief society. This movie happened to be our relief society lesson. It was nice to not be talked at, but rather touched by matters of the heart. I had tears welling in my eyes, but I didn't want to weep. Because that's what was about to happen. This movie made that relief society one of my most treasured lessons in all of my church history. I am exaggerating because I love this movie that much. I heard all the snuffles, and the ruffling of Kleenex papers to wipe noses. I was touched by the spirit I felt as I watched this wonderful movie. I felt I had a better and deeper comprehension of the Savior and His love for me, and everyone around me. It was powerful. I recommend this to the Collins Family. This will make a perfect Family Home Evening movie and discussion afterwards. Be prepared to wipe your eyes because I promise you there will not be a dry eye in the room.

This is an absolutely beautiful story of a young girl named Rebekah. One day she is out with her mother and they see Jesus preaching, and after she is fascinated by Him and His messages. Her mother, Sarah, is skeptical, and doesn't want Rebekah to wonder from her responsibilities. Sarah's father is blind and needs help. Rebekah is given the task to go to the market for fish, and sees Jesus there. She then brings him home, and one simple act changes things for everyone, especially Sarah. There is also a tender story about Ruben, the grandfather, as well.
My family and I loved this video! I watched it three times, and each time the tears came. My youngest daughter especially loved it, and it was tender to watch her reactions to Jesus and Rebekah. The scenery is lovely and perfectly depicts the time period. The story is sweet, and Rebekah was fun to watch. This movie will be a perfect addition to your home for the Easter holiday, and can be enjoyed throughout the year.
I received a code from the distributor to preview the show online.

This is a very tender, touching movie! Rebekah and her mother come upon Jesus as He is teaching. Rebekah asks 'who is that man?' Rebekah's mother, Sarah, is worrisome as she has heard many rumors. Rebekah cannot stop thinking about Him. When she finds out that her friend is going to see Jesus she asks to come along. But he leaves her behind. Rebekah seeks Jesus on her own and meets him as he is blessing the children. He calls her by name to come to him. Then she meets him next at the marketplace where she implores him to come home with her for her grandfather has told her a very heart-felt story and she wants to take Jesus to meet him. When Rebekah hears that the Savior has been killed she refuses to speak. Her grandfather knows just the cure for Rebekah...what happens next will bring tears to your eyes.
A PHENOMENAL movie!
PERFECT for the upcoming Easter Season.
Gather your family around, share this DVD, and know that He also knows Your name.

Prepare for Easter NOW with this touching DVD of a young Jewish girl's venture in discovering for herself is Jesus is the Christ!
Aimee Johnson who portrays Rebecca will certainly "steal" each viewer's heart! I cannot imagine one who could emulate Jesus' character more than actor Daren Southam accomplished.
Each cast member was chosen exceptionally well for his/her part! The movie draws each viewer into each scene!
The tale is set in the last days of Jesus' life on earth. My thoughts kept reflecting on Gods' words ... and a child shall lead them..".
The musical score in the background totally enhanced the circumstances and emotions of the story, causing each viewer to feel he/she was there with them!
Regardless of religious affiliation, all can gain hope of Life Eternal. This could be especially comforting for all who has lost. loved ones.
The Child Rebecca - portrayed by Aimee Johnson; Neighbor boy, Isaac - portrayed by Koleman Stinger;the grandfather - Bruce Newbold, ; the mother - Melody Stone; and Jesus - portrayed by Darin Southam T. Aimee totally stole the heart of the audience ! I do not think there could have been a more perfect portrayal of Jesus than what Darin accomplished. Mason D. Davis did a remarkable job in his brief appearance as a younger Ruben!
Truly all homes would benefit from having this DVD available for frequent inspirational comfort.
