Product Description

“I’ll never do it again,” we say — and then we do it. Most of us realize that perfection is a long-term process, but when we make some of the same mistakes over and over again, it’s easy to lose hope. In this talk based on key insights from his bestselling book, The Continuous Atonement, Brad Wilcox points out that the Lord’s Atonement will be available as long as the perfecting process takes — if we keep trying. Using the example of a priest who must repeat the sacrament prayer several times to get it right, Brother Wilcox explains that the Savior allows us as many chances as we need. Filled with personal stories and keen doctrinal insights, this message presents sublime truths about the Atonement in fresh, memorable ways. As the author urges, “If at first you don’t succeed — even if at second or third or fourth you don’t succeed — don’t lose hope. Find the Savior and the blessings of His continuous Atonement.”

Talk on CD: 1 CD, approx. running time 55 minutes.

Great talk on how the atonement is "continuous"
By , Submitted on 2018-01-15

This talk was a great reminder of how much Heavenly Father and Jesus love us and are willing to help us over and over again as we make mistakes. Sometimes we expect ourselves to be perfect over night, to only need repentance once and then to never make the same mistake again, but that is not how it goes. Often we fall into the same mistakes and sins again and again. What is important is that we keep trying, we keep repenting and we do our best to be a little nit better today. Great talk for teens and adults a like, whether or not you are struggling with relapsing and making the same mistakes, it is useful for those who love somebody who is going through this as well. It gives hope and peace. This is a very quick (about hour long) talk that is totally worth listening to.

even I have hope with the attonement . . .
By , Submitted on 2015-02-25

I often feel like what Nephi wrote: "... Oh wretched man that I am! Yea, my heart sorroweth because of my flesh; my soul grieveth because of mine iniquities. I am compassed about, because of the temptations and the sins which do so easily beset me. And when I desire to rejoice, my heart groaneth because o my sins . . ." I do not think he had any big sins to confess, but I understand how he felt. I often make the same mistakes over and over and this talk by Brad Wilcox really helped me.

Helped bring me back in to activity

I met Brad while on my mission, teaching a young man in California. Little did i know how much he'd help me later on as i fell in to inactivity. I bought the talk on CD and listened to it over and over on my long drives with work. He touched on the things that many of us struggle with, yet rarely hear the remedies for. Thanks Brad for giving me hope to change by understanding the atonement a little better.

Hope for the Disappointed - A 5-star DVD

This is a beautiful, inspiring talk about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and how it works in the repentance process. Bro. Wilcox gives great examples and hope for those of us who feel like we are constantly repenting of the same things over and over again, and how mortality is a process, not an overnight "give away all my sins" situation.

Great message of hope!
