This book is fantastic! Once it came, I was excited to dive right into it. First of all, I love the cover! It definitely gets me in the Christmas mood.
This is a high-quality book. The paper is multiple colors and thick so the pages are nice to turn. There's lots of cool, vintage artwork throughout. It starts with "The Birth of Christ," using scriptures from both the Bible and the Book of Mormon to tell the story. Some of the stories and poems that are shared are classics, like "The Night Before Christmas," "The Gift of the Magi," and "The Mansion." There are many more stories and poems that are new to me and it will take a while to read through them all.
The history and trivia pages are also fun to read, especially Christmas on Temple Square and the most popular Christmas toys through the years, some of which are still popular today. There are recipes throughout which look easy to make and yummy! This book isn't set up in sections. Instead, the stories, carols, recipes, quotes, trivia and history are mixed together throughout the book.
This is the type of book that displays well and will make a great Christmas gift. We will enjoy it for many years to come!
I received a copy of this book to review. My opinion is 100% my own.

This is a wonderful book, perfect for the holidays. This hard cover book is a collection of favorite and memorable stories, poems, Christmas carols, interesting facts, history, recipes, and scriptures. I loved the way the pictures are so nostalgic and colorful.
The book begins with a scriptural account of Christ's birth, taken from both the Book of Mormon and the Bible. The layout is very pleasing, with the different elements mixed together--a poem, a carol, a few recipes, a couple of stories, a quote, etc. This book has everything you need to really think about and celebrate Christmas, all in one place! I loved reading about the most popular Christmas toys through the years, as well as re-reading old favorite stories, such as The Gift of the Magi. The classic poem The Night Before Christmas is included, as is a fun recipe for reindeer food. I loved the group game ideas and the list of favorite family Christmas movies. The lyrics to It Came Upon a Midnight Clear, with a little history behind the song, was fun to read. This is one going into our Christmas book box to be re-read each and every Christmas.

It's All About Christmas carries with it a nostalgic feel that reminds me of Christmas's past. The collection of short stories, recipes, songs, poems, and classic pictures and paintings offers up reminders of the joys of Christmas. I recognized many of the songs and stories but found it wonderful to have them all collected here in one place. The stories include "The Gift of the Magi", "The Little Match Girl", and "The Animals Christmas Tree." Each song includes the lyrics and a bit about the history of the song. The recipes sound delicious. This book is a great resource for those, like myself, who enjoy putting together a Christmas Eve program (a collection of scriptures telling the story of the birth of Jesus is the first selection in the book). While it would have been helpful to have the actual music included with the songs, that's a minor thing since these songs would be easy to find elsewhere.

This is a large volume, about the size of a text book, with over 230 pages of sturdy, high-quality, non-gloss pages filled with gorgeous imagery and heartwarming content. The blend of vintage pictures with clean modern layout design is seamless and easy on the eyes. It opens with scriptures detailing the prophecy and birth of Christ from both the Bible and Book of Mormon. Well-known stories such as 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and The Elves and the Shoemaker are shared, but a wealth of lesser known classics are what drew my interest, especially The Little Match Girl by Hans Christian Anderson. Rounded out with fun songs, recipes, and fascinating tidbits that my girls will love, we will be savoring this book for several years! It is a wonderful idea for a gift :)
