No discounts given

The book was handy for planning before leaving home but none of the discounts offered in the book were honored when we asked for them in Nauvoo. The most valuable part we found was the time estimates so we knew how long to spend at each historical site. We ended up staying a few days longer in Nauvoo and slowing down our pace, which was the best choice we made. Nauvoo is not a place to hurry through and we loved our week there.

Helpful but found inaccuracies

The book was helpful and we used it in our planning of our trip. We found that the listed discounts were not given, so don't buy the book for that purpose. Some of the listed times were inaccurate so be sure to check for correct information at your desired stops.

This book is very helpful and full of practical travel information for families.

This book is GREAT!! the best of all the Historic Mormon America travel guides I have found. I needed this kind of practical information more than just reviews of church history. I only wish the author would write one about the NY and Penn. church sites!!!!!!!!

Wonderful especially for those outside the USA.

Since I began some time ago to plan our overseas trip to include the Church History sites I have been searching everywhere and asking a lot of questions of people who have been to those areas. It has taken a lot of effort until my daughter in Utah came upon the book 'LDS Family Travel Guide'. It has been an answer to my prayers on planning our trip. Because we live outside the USA, it was very difficult to know such things as distances and types of accomodation available. It has given us such wonderful information, and really enthused us for what we are to see there. It has been invaluable to our plans.
