Every Sunday during sacrament meeting we hear the promise that we may "always have His Spirit to be with [us]" (Moroni 4:3). But what does it mean to always have the Lord's Spirit with us? And how can we recognize the presence and guidance of the Holy Ghost in our lives?
In this beautiful book, Elder Ronald A. Rasband shares timely counsel and personal stories about recognizing the hand of the Lord in our everyday pursuits. Through his own experience, Elder Rasband helps us learn first how to seek the Spirit and then how to recognize and respond to divine guidance in our families, with friends and colleagues, in our Church service, and during times of trial.
Each of heartfelt stories, brief messages, and inspiring quotes is an important reminder that the Lord is in the small details of our lives. Elder Rasband demonstrates repeatedly that we are led according to His divine design. Our Father in Heaven is interested in our success and eternal happiness, and He has provided the Holy Ghost to help us choose wisely so we can return to Him one day.

I loved it !!!
I love this little book. The quality of the materials and the workmanship of the volume are exquisite. It is a pleasure to hold and to read. The thoughts and stories are life changing and are enhanced with beautiful photography. Everything is in perfect harmony. I have read the book and will keep it close at hand to reread portions of the text and enjoy the photos whenever I feel the need to draw closer to the Spirit. Thank you Elder Rasband.
This book gives a timely message of hope and ways to draw closer to the Lord.
My wife Susan got me this book for Christmas. I just finished reading it and loved every page. I loved being assured over and over again as to the Lord's love for each of his children. I felt inspired to be better a better minister. I loved the format on this book. Short, powerful stories with great pictures. We as a family have lived in the same neighborhood for over 25 years. . My son and I served as the Home Teachers to the Rasband family for 10 years. He and Melanie really do walk the talk. They have been great examples to us for the past 30 years. If you want a simple to understand book that is full of inspirational personal stories then purchase this book. Carry on!!!!
I love this little book! I received it Christmas Eve. It's a page turner. Brief chapters. I m a changed mama/grandma/great grandma.
I read it twice already. This will bless my life.
What an amazing book. Easy to understand I.got the CD version. Elder Rasband has such a soothing voice. Highly Recommend!
Loved this quote: "In these days of worldly intrusions into our lives, when trials and difficulties may seem to engulf us, let us remember our own special spiritual experiences. These building blocks of faith will bring us conviction and reassurance of a caring, loving Father in Heaven, of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and of Their restored true and living Church."
Great book! My favorite quote, "Not all that the Lord ask of us is a result of how strong we are, how faithful we are, or what we may know." - It's a great book and shares insight on the plan that God has for us and how things don't just happen in our lives, but that we are led by God.
Loved his teachings of acting on spiritual promptings. The book is a great gift if one reads it and acts on the thoughts it inspires!
This is one of the best books I've ever read. If you are someone going through a difficult event in life this book can remind you that Heavenly Father is mindful of all of us. This book had a huge impact on me. So nice to be reminded that the Lord is involved in the small details of our lives and that there is a plan for each one of us. I love Elder Rasband he is a kind and compassionate teacher and leader.
This is an excellent book, one to be read by young and old. It is wonderful to know that the experiences we have in life are not coincidental--that we are guided and watched over by a loving Heavenly Father. The personal experiences of Elder Rasband are inspiring and comforting. Each chapter is full of inspiration and wonderful counsel. As I read each chapter, I found myself thinking of my own life, and the divine design that I have been blessed with. The sweet story he told about his little grandson, and the concept of being a first responder, brings to mind the importance of being aware of those around us, especially with the new "ministering" program announced by President Nelson. I also found Elder Rasband's words, "Though we will face trials, adversities, disabilities, heartaches, and all manner of afflictions, our caring, loving Savior will always be there for us," very comforting. I would recommend this book to everyone.
I very much enjoyed reading this book. I found the personal experiences inspiring and inspirational. It also helped explain some incidences in my life that I couldn’t accept as coincidental. The concept of divine design is much more in line with my feelings about these experiences. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
I listened to this book as an audio book MP3, which was perfect because I enjoy listening to the author read it, but it is really the kind of book I would recommend getting in the hard cover if you have to choose between the two. There were so many great quotes and things he taught that I had to keep pausing the book to write them down. I absolutely loved this book! Elder Rasband uses many teachings form the scriptures and other leaders as well as his personal stories. I highly recommend this book for everyone!
"Think of those times, some daily, when the Lord has acted in your life and then acted again. Treasure them as moments the Lord has showed confidence in you and your choices but allow Him to make more of you than you can make of yourself on your own. Treasure His involvement. Sometimes we consider changes in our plans as 'missteps' on our journey. Think of them more as 'first steps to being on the Lord's errand.'"
