Product Description

Are you looking to have a more Christ-centered Christmas this holiday season? The concept of The Little Lamb from Bethlehem is similar to Elf on the Shelf, but will help teach your family, especially your little ones, the true meaning of Christmas.

I have come to your home from a land far away to tell you a true story. It's a story of something that happened in my little town many years ago..."

The Little Lamb from Bethlehem tells the story of Jesus's miraculous birth from the perspective of one of the lambs in the stable on that sacred night. The lamb loved baby Jesus, and as they both grew, the lamb promised to share Christ's story with everyone. Now the Little Lamb can teach your family about the Savior's life and share ways to follow His example and serve others throughout the Christmas season. Make Christmas more meaningful as you use this little plush lamb to learn of the Savior, serve others, and celebrate the true spirit of the season with this new Christ-centered Christmas tradition! Click here for more information about The Little Lamb from Bethlehem.

Bring your lamb home today to begin a Christmas tradition that your children will remember for years to come!

Ideas to get started:

  • Once a week leading up to Christmas, invite a new friend to dinner with your family, and share Little Lamb's story of the Savior with them.
  • Include the lamb in the nativity scene you act out with your family.
  • Create a photo album with the Little Lamb as you take it to do service at a nursing home.
  • Read Luke 2:13-14.

Designed to fit your family's needs!

  • Weekly or daily activity options available (ideas enclosed)
  • Or choose to use the lamb as a simple reminder of the season

More ideas:

  • Give the Little Lamb a note every day expressing love for a family member, and leave it for that family member to find.
  • Each Sunday during December, give the Little Lamb a favorite scripture to hold during the day and then read it with your family that night.
  • Read John 13:15 and talk about the ways to be the kind of person Jesus would be.
  • Hang a stocking for Jesus and fill it with notes for Him.

Elf on a shelf is a joke.
By , Submitted on 2018-12-05

LOVE THIS. My girls (6&2) know this is for fun and can’t wait for the toy lamb to appear. Note: this guy doesn’t appear every day but he left a printout of fun things to do for others and a small daily scripture verse to read in the mean time. THIS is what the season is about to me. Kids can understand and have just as much fun doing things for others as they do with Santa traditions if given a chance.

When all of my buddies are going crazy with elaborate elf on a shelf ideas the first week of December, I’m sitting back just waiting for the elf burnout. Their Pinterest worthy hiding rapidly becomes a chore of just trying to move the freaking thing before a kid goes searching for it at the crack of dawn!! It can be fun but it has nothing to do with Christ, his story or the true meaning of Christmas. Just a skinny elf doll that’s combined with lies used to persuade kids to pipe down and behave all month! I would have had nightmares as a child over some doll who gets into mischief and is always lurking... but hey I see the merit in some ways and have even been blown away by some of the fun crazy elf ideas my mom friends have come up with. Just depends on what traditions are best for your crew!

To the people talking about the book/lamb quality... my lamb set came beautifully. Maybe some of you guys have done so many good deeds/service with said lamb that it’s falling apart now... good grief.

Little Lamb

I bought the Little Lamb to share with the Nursery in our ward.
I am the Nursery Leader. The children loved it. I let them each
hold him and hug him. I read the short version. I showed the beautiful pictures. I had them find the Lamb. I took the Little Lamb each Sunday in December. I will be taking him again next Christmas and each year after that.
The Little Lamb was expensive. But it was worth it.

My daughter enjoyes the super soft little lamb and has adopted it as a year-round stuffed animal. I love the suggestions of service ideas and ways to remember the true meaning of CHRISTmas!

The book itself was very flimsy. The ear came OFF the lamb and my granddaughter is older and mild mannered and does not play rough. She was very upset! The stitching on the head was also loose and the insides showed!!! AND the product was WAY TOO expensive!!! She did love how cozy it felt though.
The local store did kindly replace it, but in the meantime while waiting for the replacement it was a traumatic event and disappointing.
The box was in better shape and bettet made than the book and lamb.

I purchased several for my smaller grandchildren scatteted across the world. They all loved them!!! They actually plan on continuing to use them throughout the year!!!

My granddaughter loved this book. Interesting way to tell the story of the birth of Christ.

Disappointed- so cheap!

I loved the idea of the little lamb, but the quality of the lamb was so poor. It was shipped to me, and when I opened it, I immediately noticed the extra pieces of fabric hanging from its sides that has to be carefully cut off by me. I could see areas where it was worn-thin-looking and could easily get holes or seams coming undone. I cautioned my daughter, and so she barely got to play with it, worried that by doing so she would ruin it. The lamb has a seam across its face in a weird place, but it was otherwise cute. However, it was clear that it was cheaply made and poor quality. I could have gotten a better quality stuffed animal much more cheaply.

Good Idea

A bit pricey for what you get. The lamb is so soft and adorable though! We could not implement the every day idea. It became one more thing to do and then bad feelings if we didn't follow through. So the lamb will come out as a reminder and we will incorporate it into our traditions but not in daily ways it was suggested.

My boys have asked me every year for an Elf on the Shelf, but I have refused each year because I haven’t liked the message it teaches or the work behind it. Little Lamb is perfect and my boys ages 10 to 2 have ALL loved it. Whenever they see him they are reminded to serve and love others. We were not able to follow through each day with reading, but we would read on Family Night and throughout the week the boys took turns getting to snuggle Little Lamb at night. They can’t wait to get him out again next year! Thank you for making a fun and thoughtful activity for the whole family!

Not only did our grandchildren ages 10,13, 17 like it as they cuddled the Lamb from Bethlehem and read the book, so did Mom, Grandpa and Grandma. Will possibly buy four more as early Chistmas gifts for our younger grandchildren and great grandchildren.

So sweet

I love my little lamb from Bethlehem. I took him to our family Christmas party and let the kids take turns holding him while I read the story. It was an instant hit.

Time consuming but great thought
By , Submitted on 2018-01-20

This is a great idea but with everything going on we were not able to do an act of service every day so this was more just an expensive stuffed animal Christmas decoration. It was a little pricey too. Maybe next year will be a little more calm and we can really try to do this. As it sat on the shelf looking at me it made me feel guilty that I wasn't able to do more.

My son loved it!

I was disappointed at what you got for the price. The story was cute but very short and simple. Not worth the price.

We bought this for our granddaughter for Christmas and she loves it!!! Couldn't be happier with this Little Lamb!

Great story, small book
By , Submitted on 2018-01-19

Loved the story and the lamb. The book was surprisingly small in size. For the price and the fact that it is for kids, I thought the book would be bigger so that more than one kid could see the pictures. But I love this idea and we sent our elf back to the North Pole in order to start this tradition!

Little Lamb

I purchased this in the hope it would be a fun way to remind my granddaughter that Christmas is about Christ. I guess I expected more. I pinned a picture of Christ to his hand after my granddaughter told me that seeing the lamb did not remind her of Jesus. We did have fun moving the lamb daily to new and creative places like an elf on the shelf moves and she enjoyed looking for it but the story had nothing to do with the lamb moving or being fun- we just made it up. I admit to not taking time to look at the blog for ideas on how to use the lamb. She had enough fun with it that we will bring it out again next year. Our lamb was very durable- survived being in a pan hanging from the pot rack, stuffed in the Christmas tree, between stair rails, snuggling in a blanket, wearing a Santa hat etc

Disappointed- so cheap!
By , Submitted on 2018-01-19

The quality of the lamb was so poor that I had to warn my daughter it might fall apart. I had to cut off extra pieces of material upon receipt and it was very thin in places. My daughter was paranoid about it getting a hole, rightfully so, and so she didn't play with it much. I love the idea and think the lamb looks cute (besides the weird seam across its face), but the quality is so cheap that it seemed like a dollar store stuffed animal.
