Each year, the Christmas concert presented by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square is seen by more than 85,000 people live and by millions more via television broadcast. It is a full-scale production featuring world-class musicians, soloists, narrators, and music that leaves viewers in awe of the Choir's unmatched magnitude and musicality. This year the Choir was joined by none other than multiple Grammy-award winner Natalie Cole. Ms. Cole's trademark vocal style paired with the Choir's legendary sound makes for a stunning collection destined to become a new Christmas classic. An enchanting mix of traditional and contemporary Christmas songs. National PBS special featuring Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Natalie Cole, and David McCullough scheduled to air December 2010!
We love Natalie Cole AND The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. This is absolutely beautiful in stage design, concept, and performance. The sound is stunning! I will watch the televised performance in December, but I want to see it again and again. I always purchase a new Christmas CD/DVD. This year THIS IS IT!
I wasn't able to attend the performance, so I am very grateful that there was a DVD made. I thought the whole performance was wonderful. The Mormon Tabernacle, the children's choir, Ms. Cole, the dancers, and Mr David McCullough all performed to perfection. I loved the stories told by Mr McCullough about the 2 Christmas songs along with the touching pictures of World War II soldiers. May these wonderful Christmas programs by the choir go on for many many years. Can't wait to add it my Christmas DVD collection.
