Product Description

More and more, women find themselves asking how they can be full and active participants and leaders in the work of building the kingdom—particularly when it comes to priesthood work. After all, the scriptures tell us, "Now the great and grand secret of the whole matter . . . consists in obtaining the powers of the Holy Priesthood" (D&C 128:11). Especially in recent years, prophets and apostles have assured that women as well as men can serve in the Church, the temple, and the family with priesthood authority and priesthood power. How can women more fully exercise that holy authority in their daily service and work?

Best-selling author and acclaimed psychologist Wendy Ulrich explains how, following the Savior's examples, women can act within priesthood authority and covenants to fulfill their individual missions, help save the human family, and empower rising generations. By qualifying for the gifts of the Holy Ghost and the temple endowment, women can nourish, teach, serve, pray, lead, heal, parent, prophesy, minister, and testify with priesthood power.

This book will help you grow in power in the priesthood as you better understand the priesthood authority women have been given, learn to clarify and live your deepest values, and hone the skill of discerning and acting on the promptings of the Holy Ghost—ultimately growing toward your highest spiritual potential.

The very promises made by oath and covenant to those who bear the Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthoods were extended by Joseph Smith to the Relief Society sisters. He organized them "after the pattern of the priesthood" and promised: "If you live up to your privileges, the angels cannot be restrained from being your associates. . . .[You] can come in the presence of God." These promises and privileges belong to all who wish to claim them.

Live Up to Our Privileges" by Wendy Ulrich

I just finished this book. I am so thankful for these beautiful insights into the holy priesthood of God. This book makes gaining power in the priesthood feel easy, personal and wonderful. I just called my daughters (in-law) and told them not to buy Easter baskets for their daughters, but to buy them this book. This will do so much for so many. It is a must read for all daughters of God.

If you want to find more power to bless loved ones, understand your life's mission, and create heaven in your home then this book is a must read. I learned not only how I was already exercising the Priesthood as a woman but how I could better access and take hold of the many privileges God is extending to me to help me grow spiritually, serve others and build Zion. Each chapter left me feeling inspired and wanting more!

Life Changing

Few books get that kind of commendation from me, but this is truly one. It is a beautiful book. Wendy Ulrich has an amazing talent to apply deep doctrinal principles to the routines of daily living. Through her writing, you will come to see connections between choices and behaviors you engage in every day and patterns of priesthood power and authority that feel so right and simple, but that you’ve never previously imagined. The book is grounded in scripture and words of the Prophets, and flawlessly researched and crafted, but accessible to those with even a basic understanding of gospel doctrine. Read this book! Whether you are a woman or a man, it will change the way you think about God’s love and desires for His children, and the realities of priesthood power and authority forever.

Must read for thoughtful learning of Priesthood Power for Men and Women

This book was so refreshing as it took me on a path to better understand each office in the Priesthood, and it demonstrated how the Savior exemplified that role in His life and teachings. Wendy then goes a step further and likens this to all members, and women, in terms of how we can experience and already experience the great power in our lives. This is the kind of book you want to go back to for reference when teaching your family, in Church or preparing a talk. She goes deeper and aligns the principles in a very personal way for us to experience and feel closer to God and our Savoir.

A compelling book that engages the mind and heart!

Wendy Ulrich brings you along on her insightful journey of understanding, deeply, women and the Priesthood of God. The chapters have many, ‘spot on’ references that reflect her grasp of the doctrines and their context. Equally impressive is how the discussions are filled with the warmth and spirit of her voice. She has some unique, but compelling, ways of thinking through the issues which reveal the breadth and depth of her experience. I appreciate how honestly she presents her perspective but then allows the room for me to personally reflect on the meaning of the material. This book enlightens women on the many facets of God's Priesthood Power and the crucial opportunities, or ‘privileges’, women have to apply His power to further His purposes. What a wonderful contribution—I just wish it had larger margins!
