I have family members and friends who have different mental illnesses. This book helped me to understand what they are going through and be more able to respond in a loving, non-judgemental way. It gives good suggestions for both those who have the illnesses and those who know them. It is easy to read and understand, but does not "talk down" to you.

insightful; didn't put me to sleep

Just want to say that I have dealt with OCD and this book was very helpful. I especially liked the scenario/examples of what people with a certain disorder might experience. All I gotta say is that it's about dang time a book like this comes out!

Lots of information!

Finally there are doctors to explain what is happening in our minds from a gospel perspectve. This book is great for those suffering with "brain diseases" or those who know someone struggling with one. I felt like there was someone who finally got it!
