I love how Damon and Jack’s feelings are so complicated and I felt really emotional during this book I give it a five star!
I loved listening to this book! The reader does an awesome job! Very entertaining.
I enjoyed this book. There was more than once that I found myself holding me breath. I am not normally one to go for the mystery and suspense but this one was worth it.
I’m so pleased that the author did this as a follow up to Dating Danger. I loved that book and this one is on equal par I love her sense of humor mingled with romance plus suspense. I think that shows rare talent. I’m looking forward to more books by this author
This was a fun book of "Mormon-Girl-Next-Door" gets caught up in an undercover operation in Las Vegas. Jack (Jacklyn) is the main female character in love with an FBI agent. She stumbles unknowingly into an undercover operation and then adventure, danger, and fun ensue. The story it told in first-person so we are privy to all Jacks thought processes. Because we know what she's thinking we get to see her vulnerability while she is pretending to be a confident no nonsense arms dealer, but at times it spills over to whiny and a bit sappy.
Overall this was a fun book.
I always hesitate when books say they have an LDS aspect to them. For me, most of the time it feels over the top on the religious aspect of the story. This book weaves in the religious side of things very naturally. It's not over the top and is in fact well done in my opinion. I loved this story. I loved how Jacky finds herself in this situation and they way she handles herself. I love the adventure and the way Damon grows throughout this book. The only thing I found frustrating was the reference to another story that we obviously should have known about. As the pieces fell together, I felt like I knew the other story but couldn't place where I had read it. I looked for other books the author had written but could find any information in the book. I finally figured out what other story was being referenced and things made even more sense. It would have been nice to have the other book (A DATE WITH A STRANGER) mentioned somewhere, (usually there's a seperate page that lists the author's other books in the beginning). Other than that, I loved everything about the story. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a great adventure full of tension and high stakes.
It's no secret that I'm a chicken and the adventure and danger in this book had my heart pounding. I even found myself holding my breath at times, especially since Jack is your every day girl next door. She's so naive and her sometimes bumbling and hilarious ways endeared her to me because she could be anyone--she's no super hero spy. Jack has the grit to dig right into a situation, after a few tears, because that's who she is and she really flies by the seat of her pants, more often than not. It's easy to like Jack and to relate to her.
The setting, Vegas, wasn't my favorite because I'm not into all the gambling and "stuff" that happens there, but I was completely fascinated by the underground world that opened up before my eyes. Does this stuff really happen??! Combine that with the characters, even the creepy ones, and it's an entertaining read for sure.
I'm so glad to have read A DATE WITH DANGER, since the backstory to the character relationships is given there. I recommend reading that one first. Damon and Jack have a great and unique relationship and I loved watching it progress even further, even as it's put in jeopardy. The romance...*sigh*...so sweet and fresh, although there are some issues to work through and the circumstances aren't ideal by any means.
Throughout all the danger and edginess to the book, the character growth is heartwarming, especially their spirituality. Those moments lead to a respite from the fast pace, which gave me a breather. I hope there is more to this story, because I'm loving it.
Content: mild romance (kissing, some implied past intimacies); moderate religious elements (LDS); mild violence. It's Vegas, so gambling, drinking, etc.

I thoroughly enjoyed this follow-up to Iroz's A Date with Danger. I loved Jack in the first back and it was great to read more about her. In the first, book, Jack meets Agent Damon Wade when she's asked to help on an FBI investigation. In this book, the two are dating and Jack is obsessing over the fact that not once during their eight months of dating has Damon told her he loves her. She thinks he does but he's never said it. So when he invites her to go on vacation to Las Vegas with him and meet his mother and sister, she's thrilled. He'll have to work a couple of days but then it should be vacation time. But her budget leads her to reluctantly say no. After her parents step in to help, Jack is thrilled to be able to fly to Vegas and surprise Damon. But things take a turn for the worse when Jack walks in on Damon working undercover. After inadvertently ruining the operation, Jack feels obligated to step in and help fix things. But playing the part of a gun-running criminal mastermind is harder than she ever could have imagined and it's not just her life on the line. Meanwhile, she and Damon are still figuring out their relationship, and he gives her some upsetting news. I had a really hard time putting this book down not only because of the suspense but because I wanted to see what would happen in Jack and Damon's relationship. Admittedly, I was unable to predict some of the twists and turns that the story took, but that made the book that much more enjoyable.
I love the MC, Jack. She is hilarious. She gets in the worst situations and her snarky personality and humor gets her through everything.
A Date with Danger comes before this book. I would suggest they be read in order, and really, I loved both of them. Mormon Girl: Incognito takes place after the first and mentions situations from the first book. Plus, you get to know the personalities of Jack and Damon.
The location of this story is mainly in Las Vegas. Damon is there for work and asks Jack to meet him to meet his family. Damon is with the FBI and undercover, but Jack doesn't know that and decides to surprise him early. She ends up being surprised when she unwittingly almost blows his cover on a case. Now she is part of the case.
The way Jack handles herself in stressful situations is great. Like I mentioned above, she has as very sarcastic personality and a way with words. There were many "laugh out loud" moments. But at the same time, she is able to overcome her insecurities (in a unique way) and get the job done.
The book contains religious references. You can probably tell by the title of the book. I think it would be fun for anyone to read. There is kissing and violence.

Ooh, I really loved this book! It was so engaging and had the perfect balance of suspense, action and romance. There is a book before this one ( A Date with Danger) and I didn't read it but that didn't seem to hinder how much I enjoyed this book. There were plenty of references to what happened in the first book so I think I have the general idea of what happened. I didn't really feel lost at all but now I may just have to go back and read it so I know the whole story!
Jack and Damon are fun characters. I smiled at their interactions and how they grew in intensity throughout the book. The ending was explosive and crazy! So good!
I'm so glad I am on the tour for this book (and sorry I missed the last one!) This is an author now on my radar and I can't wait to see what comes next!
This is an LDS fiction book so thing specific to that religion are in this book. The characters are LDS and talk of religion but nothing overly preachy.
Content: mild violence, kissing, setting in Vegas (drugs, alcohol, gun dealers, hit men)
I was so excited to see that Jack is back! I loved her in A Date with Danger and I really wanted to know what happened to her and Damon after that one. This book was so much fun and the story was so great!
I loved Jack, I loved the way she always tries to do the right thing. I loved the way she went about surprising Damon and I wasn't terribly surprised when things didn't go quite the way she planned. I liked that, while this part of the story was a bit predictable, what happened next was anything but! Jack's character just got better and better for me in this book. I loved the strength she showed throughout her undercover job that she didn't intend to be part of. I also loved the strength she showed when Damon through her for a loop. It was really fun to see this whole story through her eyes, to know that underneath she was shouting for joy at all the things she was able to see and do in Las Vegas, while she had to hold herself in character on the outside. And I really loved the parts where she had to act knowledgeable about something she had no clue about!
I liked Damon too. While none of this story is shown through his eyes, I liked that he was honest with Jack. I liked the way he was protective of her, even when he was not supposed to be when she was undercover. He worked so hard to protect her, even putting himself in danger.
This book was so great, I really enjoyed the plot. I thought that the author did a great job with the sights, sounds, and smells of Vegas. Reading it was almost like taking a trip there. I'm hoping for more books by this author about Jack and Damon!
