The prophet Moroni, who spent at least the last twenty years of his life alone and wandering to avoid being captured and killed, has in the latter days become one of the symbols of our religion. His statue watches over nearly every temple and has been depicted on the cover of millions of copies of the Book of Mormon in dozens of languages.
In this book, best-selling author John Bytheway suggests that Moroni's last words were both intensely personal and universally applicable. In the closing chapters of the Book of Mormon we discover a wonderful formula for surviving today's turbulent times. Moroni's topics, and even the sequence in which he shared them, become a strategy for remaining steadfast and true in our day. John suggests that whatever latter-day challenges we face, we can successfully navigate them by "likening Moroni."

John Bytheway has been a favorite of mine for many years. Our children were raised on his talks ad videos. He didn't disappoint me this time either. I learned so much and came away with a greater love and respect for Moroni and the words he wrote. I highly recommend this book.
Enjoyable book. Easy reading. Excellent Information
Will read this book over and over again.
I am an electronic reader. I haven't read a paper book in about 10 years. I first listened to this book from Bookshelf synced in my car. I loved it so much that I bought the actual book! I read it and reread it, highlighter in hand!
I have since bought four more copies for friends! I have used quotes from this book in conversations and lessons. It has been a couple of months since I read it, time to read it again. I imagine I will read it many more times in my life.
My children are using this book in a series of family home evenings with their children. It is perfect for that! I cannot recommend any book more highly!
Our children were raised on John Bytheway audio talks and non-audio books.. The material is good, but the audio put us to sleep. After a half an hour I decided to exchange the audio for the book. I was surprised the non-user friendly policy of Deseret Book would not allow me to do so. The audio was in perfect condition. It was a such a waste of money because if I could have exchanged for the book, it would have worked out fine. Our family is just more used to listening to his vibrant talks. This reading of a book didn't hold our attention as well. I wish Deseret Book would have given us the chance to exchange it for what would have better met our needs. That was quite a disappointment, but we will always love John Bytheway.
I loved how Bytheway starts the book by talking and describing who Moroni was and what he was going through in such a way that it took Moroni from being just a historical figure in my mind and a statue on the temple to a living hero. It got my wheels starting to turn and ponder. The book of Moroni is then broken down by chapters and dissected to help develop a greater understanding. Bytheway asks questions of the reader and has a marvelous way of relating Moroni’s writings in an easy and yet thought provoking manner as to how do we handle turbulent questions, trials, and moments in our life and how we can be good disciples of Christ even when it seems hard. He helps provide insight as to how we can make more out of partaking of the sacrament and of our outlook on our life. This book is uplifting, insightful, thought provoking and I will read it again and again!
This was a great read. Helps to understand what he went through and relate to modern day circumstances. Puts it all in perspective.
I originally started listening to the book, but found that there was so much that I wanted to remember and mark that I purchased the ebook and have enjoyed it. When I read something in a book and I share it with friends I know that the book is worth remembering and sharing over and over. It helped me look at Moroni and his writings in a different way than I had in the past.
I ordered the audio book and loved every word. I wanted to hear more. The thoughtful insite into the study of Moroni was inspiring. I think Moroni is probably smiling a lot about this book. Thank you John, as always, for a wonderful book of instruction.
This is a marvelous book! I use it frequently in my Book Of Mormon study. My husband loves it also and he hates to read. i bought one for my adult children and thier families.
No one survived more turbulent times than Moroni. John ByTheWay provides us with a view into Moroni's world and uses those lessons to provide tools to help us today. A very insightful and inspiring work. I have a new appreciation for Moroni and the challenges he faced. I hope to be able to incorporate these lessons into my own life. Thank you.
This book is so appreciated by me. Reading Moroni’s chapters have so often filled me with overwhelming sadness. I think of him in his solitude reaching out to me from the dust. In this book, Brother Bytheway has truly helped me to see past the sadness I have felt to see the joy and the promise that helped to sustain Moroni. The author’s thoughtful treatment of each chapter is sensitive and thoughtful.
This was a great book to read as an accompaniment to book of mormon study. Bytheway has way of simplifying matters so they're easily understood. The book brought a unique perspective to the last days of Moroni. At the end of each chapter, the book includes a synopsis. I highly recommend this book.
I was very pleased with this book. The author has done an excellent job of shining a spot light on Moroni's messages in a new and refreshing way (even for those who have read Moroni's words many times). The author offered some very profound insights that gave me some "ah-ha" moments such as a way of looking at faith that I have not really understood before in that way. He offers some wonderful gems of quotes from the Prophet Joseph Smith, Elder Neal A. Maxwell and others that I have not heard before. These "gems" and "profound". The book is and easy read and not overly long or wordy. Both teens and adults should find it insightful and motivating. I feel this book is worth adding to you library. (I have received a free copy to give an honest review.)
I really enjoyed reading this book! John Bytheway brought out so many thoughts of Mormon and Moroni that I never thought of, things that they had to deal with that will help us in our days. We always read how strong physically and spiritually that Nephi was but I have never studied so much about the strength of Moroni before reading this book. John Bytheway writes in a beautiful way that is so easy to understand and at the end of each chapter has a small list of things we can do to liken ourselves to Moroni. There are also many quotes from apostles and church leaders that reinforce what Moroni and Mormon taught. Reading this has shown me what things I am doing well and some things that would bring me closer to my Heavenly Father and my savior Jesus Christ. This is a book where I have highlighted many parts and one I look forward to rereading.
Loved This Book! I received this book in exchange for a review for Deseret Book, and I am so glad that I agreed to do this! I thought that John Bytheway's books were for the youth, but MORONI is certainly for older youth AND adults. In fact, I felt that many of his insights and comments were especially helpful for single adults--young or older. I will certainly recommend it to my friends. This book has an easy-to-read, conversational style, with excellent quotes from past and current Church leaders. I like his format. At the end of each chapter, he gives a short synopsis to remind you of his key points. I highly recommend it.
This book took me by surprise. When I think John Bytheway, I think youth speaker. Boy was I surprised. He went into so much detail about Moroni and His trials. He went much deeper than I had expected on each topic. I learned more in this 1 church book than in all the other books I’ve read. This was definitely something I needed right now in my life- it answered so many questions and made me really think about the questions. This is not a book intended for just the youth, I think everyone should read it. It was so insightful. It was a very easy read. Highly recommended.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review and I must say how glad I am that I did. This is a small, easy to read book written in the enjoyable style that John Bytheway brings to everything he does. My feelings for Moroni and his efforts and sacrifices have been deepened as I've spent time pondering him and his teachings. I enjoyed the whole book, however, when I got to the chapter about Moroni 9 I felt like this little book became a must read. The teachings in this chapter about agency are relevant for everyone and I especially felt that any person readying themselves to serve a mission, trying to be a missionary to those around them or just wondering if their example is enough should take time to read this book. It has changed the way I look at my responsibilities and where they begin and end. I would recommend this book to anyone.
