Excellent Book

Wonderful book of scripture. It's a great source for reading scriptures with young children and the art work is wonderful! I don't see anything wrong or out of context with the women in the painting on page 9 although another reviewer says to look at it before buying.

I want to warn people to look at page 9 (of lady leaning forward) before buying. Please do. I am devastated that an lds book store sales this. Zero stars.

A Treasure

It is easy with a paper back version of the scriptures to treat them casually. However the cover of leather and beautiful pictures inspire a bit more reverence when we read from it on Sunday.

I bought the Heirloom Book of Mormon and was impressed with it, so I decided to get the New Testament. It is very nice, so I ordered another for my Son's family. I was disappointed when I saw the Made in China on the inside page. I just thought that you all made your own books.

Wonderful Edition

One would hope for an Heirloom Edition which included both the Old and New. However it was probably hard to produce such an edition since the Old is much longer. Carl Heinrich Bloch's drawings are wonderful and the editorial decision to "zoom in" on certain details in some of his renderings on some pages was very appropriate, in my opinion. The size of the font is very easy to read, the page quality is wonderful and so is the carved design on the front and back covers.
