Though choirs abound worldwide, only one is directed by the renowned singer and entertainer Gladys Knight--The Saints Unified Voices. With the sole purpose of spreading the light, joy, and inner peace that can only come through Jesus Christ, Gladys Knight directs the choir (affectionately known as the 'SUV' choir) with vigor, leading the audience on an extraordinary adventure of music and testimony reflective of the choir's cultural diversity.

Begun in 2002 and based in Las Vegas, Saints Unified Voices travels the country to share its message and music with enthusiastic audiences.

Gladys Knight

GLADYS KNIGHT began performing gospel music at age four in the Mount Mariah Baptist Church and sang as a guest soloist with the Morris Brown College Choir. Three years later, she won the grand prize on television’s “Ted Mack’s Amateur Hour,” and the following year, she, along with her brother Bubba, her sister Brenda and her cousins William and Elenor Guest, formed The Pips. In 1959, Brenda and Elenor left the group and were replaced by Cousin Edward Patten and friend Langston George. The group was renamed Gladys Knight & The Pips, and following George’s departure in 1962, the classic line-up was in place. Knight is a seven-time GRAMMY Award®-winner earning number one hits in Pop, R&B and Adult Contemporary, and has triumphed in film, television and live performance. A humanitarian and philanthropist, Knight is devoted to various worthy causes, including the American Diabetes Association, for which she is a national spokesperson, the American Cancer Society, the Boys & Girls Club of America, the Minority AIDS Project amFAR and Crisis Intervention. She has been honored by numerous organizations as well, including the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), and B’Nai Brith, among others. Today, Knight helps oversee her busy personal entertainment corporation. She is a mother, great-grandmother, performer and a businesswoman with a spiritual outlook on life. Faith in God has been the driving force behind all of Knight’s endeavors, guiding her through her many successes.

I just love love that CD, I listen to it over and over again. I even allowed my 10 yr. old daughter to do sign language at her school to 'As I have loved you' at a talent show and everyone loved it. Everytime I hear that song I do the sign myself, even when driving I would do one hand. WOW! an awesome CD, you go girl.

While I loved the CD and thought the music and choir were outstanding. I was disappointed there wasn't more of Gladys Knight herself. I bought the CD specifically because it appeared Gladys Knight was the main singer.

One Voice is a wonderful CD and is a great addition to any musical library. I especially enjoy 'Come, Come, Ye Saints', accompanied by African drums. It is a new listening experience for the entire family. Thank you. Sincerely, Eva Ferguson

A breath of fresh air

This style of music is long overdue and far too absent within the LDS community. With our Puritan English musical heritage, we tend to lack 'enthusiasm' in our worship. This CD reminds us that our traditional way of worship is not 'the only way' to worship. I've grown up and really do appreciate this very conservative musical heritage, but I truly love the new cultural point of view and style of worship the music of this choir brings to my life.

I love this CD. It's about time LDS music got some sould to it. Everything about this CD is great. I felt my feet a stomping and my hands a clapping. Sister Gladys keep up the good work.

I loved it! Very inspiring. The different culters explored through music was refreshing. It was neat to hear some traditional LDS hymns arranged in a different style. this is one of my new favorites, and I plan on giving it as a gift to a fundamentalist Christian friend who loves gospel music, I think she will love it!
