Facinating. If you love the Book of Mormon and haven't read this book, get it! Now! Moore's father is a renowned BofM scholor and the research shows. , But the story doesn't read like a dry text. You will find yourself lost in the plot, while constantly saying to yourself, 'Wow, I didn't know that.' , A great read for young and old alike.

The book was fabulous and it brought the lives of the family of Lehi to life for me. I loved getting the women's perspectives and the intricacy of the story. I meant to read it a little bit at a time to make it last but couldn't resist and ended up reading it all in one night. It was so good, I couldn't stop!

H. B. Moore's talent as a writer comes out powerfully in this second volume of the Out of Jerusalem series. Though the entire book is based on only a few verses in 1 Nephi, she masterfully weaves in the latest scholarly research and her own creative ideas about the family's life during those eight years of wandering in the desert. The story is rich, believable, and compelling, with marvelous characters and settings true to the history, culture, and geography of the time. No one has told the early Book of Mormon story better in fiction. , The only other thing her readers can ask is that she hurry with volume three. Keep writing, Heather!
