Product Description

In this parable, written for the youth of the Church, bestselling singer and songwriter Jenny Phillips recounts the travels of three young siblings, Sarah, Ori, and Tabitha, along the golden pathway to the kingdom of the Light Maker.

During their journey, each of the siblings endures trials and temptations. Can they face them with faith in the Light Maker's instructions? Will they keep and wield the weapons they've been given for their defense, or abandon them in the face of temptation? Can they continue faithful on the path, or will they abandon their journey?

The Parable of the Golden Pathway is a powerful illustration of the temptations, trials, consequences, and rewards that youth - and others - face in their daily journey to obey God's laws. Readers will see themselves in the three young siblings and their struggles to remain on the path and reach the Light Maker's kingdom.

About the Authors

Jenny Phillips

Jenny Phillips sings to soothe hearts and inspire change. 'I want people to walk away from my performances wanting to be better,' Jenny says. 'I want them to know their Savior more and have a desire to be more like him.' This is exactly what happens whenever Jenny sings. With a soft yet penetrating voice she fills any room with peace. Her music is laden with powerful truths that create a totality of being as they are whispered to the heart.

Jenny's goal since childhood has been to facilitate the effect music has in peoples' lives. She can still remember the power she felt listening to gospel music as a little girl and the desire she had even then to help others feel that same power. That vision carried her to where she is now fulfilling her dream as a leader in inspirational music as well as one of the most performed and requested artists in the industry. Stories of change and testimony follow wherever she goes.

Jenny graduated from Brigham Young University in 1997 and has run a private vocal studio for more than five years. She currently lives in Salt Lake City with her husband and two children.

I was sent this special book to review and it didn't disappoint. Jenny Phillips has a way with words and music to tell a simple but most powerful parable for our time.

The story starts off by telling us about the journeys of three siblings: Sarah, Ori, and Tabitha. They are on their way to the Kingdom of the Light Maker. In order to reach the Kingdom of the Light Maker, they need to stay on the Golden Pathway. They are told to always keep their shields out to ward off danger and pitfalls. Along the way, they all face trials, adversity and some have the faith to persevere.

With the struggles and pitfalls the youth of today are facing, it takes the faith of the siblings to reach their final destination. Will all of them keep from the temptations along the way and reach the Kingdom of the Light Maker? Read this quick, and faith building parable.

As much as I loved the Parable of the Princesses, this topped my expectations! I absolutely love this book. The parable hits straight to your heart and it lays out what is happening in this world so clearly. The songs are beautiful and heartwarming as well.
