"Chris Heimerdinger breaks Mormon Cinema's mold, ambitiously transposing settings from the Book of Mormon into a stimulating action-adventure drama." — Sean Means, The Salt Lake Tribune
Orphans on the run — Kerra and Brock McConnell — seek help from LDS relatives in the small town of Leeds, Utah. Join Kerra as she discovers mind-bending mysteries in the nearby woods where a passageway exists to the jungled world of the Book of Mormon in 19 A.D.
Includes the original theatrical version and a “less intense” version, where some of the action sequences are toned down for parents of younger children. Also, a making-of documentary, deleted scenes and director’s commentary.

You must see this movie if only to see the Lamanites in the convenience store. Complete with Spears and feathers! I have never laughed so hard. And the locals who see them have priceless comments
We watched the less intense version, and it was fantastic! Definitely a 5 star movie! Loved how this really brought you into the Book of Mormon. The plot kept you guessing to the end! Great acting, music, picture and special effects! This is one you'll want to own and watch over and over again. I would recommend for ages 8+, young children may be frightened. I hope Chris Heimerdinger does a sequel movie!
I couldn't believe all the "rave" reviews this received. This was my first experience with his films. I appreciate the hard work to produce, acting was good but all in all it was really a waste of the $16 plus postage I spent. . . Sorry!
Maybe people don't understand how much money it takes to create a fantasy film but I have waited a long time for someone to take a chance and create a great story around the Book of Mormon and this is it. Solid acting, good/great casting and a compelling story. And he even walked the balance of making it family friendly - I mean that my kids (from 5 to 13) all enjoyed it. Yes there were scary parts that made my boys hid there heads but that was exactly what kept them so engaged! The danger seemed real and they cared about the characters.
I am proud to have this movie in my library and hope you will support a talented filmmaker who really put himself out there to share a vision of bringing the scriptures to life. It is one of the few LDS movies that I really like!
Chris Heimerdinger has the most exciting storys in the world!
In our house we know that when you start one of his books your schedule better be clear for the next couple of days. And when you put one of his stories into a movie WHATCH OUT! You are bound to have a winner on your hands. We loved Passage To Zarahemla and hope to see many more Chris Heimerdinger movies, he has our suport! That is after he writes the next book in the Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites series. Keep up the GREAT work! From a vary excited fan.
I enjoyed the book and the movie was not too far from it however, the beginning where they are flashing all kind of scenes (while they are driving) is a little annoying. Other than that great characters and story. They also add a little humor to it which is always fun.
We rented this from Blockbuster, and loved it! It's definatly worth the purchase price. It's a good movie for family, kids should be a little older though, not samll children.
I bought this movie along with other LDS movies to watch on the sabbath other then regular TV. I found it very enjoyable and recommend it for any family.
My mom was the first to see this, a recommend to anyone.
My husband and I love Chris Heimerdinger, but this movie just is not up to the same level as his books. He produced this film, but is just did not work. I have to wonder if this is why he has kind of fallen off the face of the earth. Poor acting, dialogue, effects....didn't work.
This is the most fun and gripping adventure set in the world of the scriptures I have scene yet. Makes a great FHE activity.
I liked this one, I have always wondered what it would be like to meet one of the neiphites. It also gave a glimpse a moment in the Book of Mormon. Good family movie!
There are a lot of movies out there, most of them good, this one was pretty good. I'd watch it again.
I was glad to see that they offered two viewing modes. One was less intense. My older child watched it saying it was graphic. knowing that, I put it in the less intense mode and at first the younger kids said they didn't want to continue watching but after the opening scene, they really got into it and enjoyed the movie. At the end, they asked if I bought the movie because they really liked it and wanted to watch it again. My youngest is nine and really liked it. Just get them past the first scene.
All ages in my family enjoyed this show. Even those who said "not another church movie" really loved it! Highly recomend!
It is a great movie!
This movie was so much better than most of the "LDS" movies out there. The filming, acting and scenery were all excellent. I haven't watched the alternate version as my kids are all teenagers now.
I loved it, it could have been a bit longer and 5.1 surround sound would have been nice, but the movie was brilliant. I really want Chris to do the Tennis Shoes but am also scared that it won't be exactly like I imagined it.
My husband and I really liked the movie. We have all of Chris Heimerdinger's books and a lot of them on tape. We love to listen to them and were excited that one was being made into a movie. I hope that this is just the beginning!
This movie was O.K. It is really frightening.
