Especially for Teachers:
The DVD includes an inspiring Slide Show, originally featured on ReflectionsofChrist.org. Nearly a million people have viewed this Slide Show featuring the inspiring hymns from the Reflections of Christ music CD as well as Mark Mabry's stunning photography. Truly, an ideal teaching supplement for any lesson on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
I absolutely loved this, as did my family & all who have seen it! It is truly an inspired work. We used this in the transition time between my son's baptism & confirmation. It was perfect. It's difficult to describe the intensity of emotion one feels while watching this beautiful, artistic work. It brings a new & very personal perspective to our Savior & His life. It is just as moving watching it the 10th time as it was the 1st. Thank you to all responsible for it's creation!
I am currently serving a mission in California, and my companion's mother mailed this DVD to him. We started showing the DVD as part of our lessons, and it only becomes more meaningful every time we watch it. The price is somewhat steep, but if Mark Mabry could come out with some additional material in subsequent editions, I would consider buying a copy myself.
WE SHOWED THE SLIDESHOW AT OUR COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS PROGRAM AS A PRELUDE. THE AUDIENCE WAS CAPTIVATED. THE MUSIC & THE IMAGES JUST MAKE YOU HOLD YOUR BREATH.
Good intentions, a bunch of good looking people, but too slick with no depth.
Filled my heart with gratitude and the desire to be better. I want to share this!
My boys, 7, 10, & 12 love to watch this DVD on Sundays. What a wonderful addition to our library.
This DVD is different. Our whole family was moved to tears by watching the work that went into these images and music. We felt like we were watching something NEW.
I teach in Sacramento, and this is a wonderful addition to our study material for the New Testament this year.
I was so very touched by this wonderful DVD. I truly felt the spirit as the photography, actors & musicians spoke about the process of bringing these photographs to life. It was just beautiful to feel the spirit of their testimonies and see the purity of their feelings.
The only problem was that it wasn't long enough! I really loved every moment of the documentary but was a little sad their wasn't a little more to the slide show. I was hoping to see more photographs with the other wonderful songs they produced. I have now decided I MUST buy the CD! I just wish they had the exhibit here in Australia! :-(
I simply loved the excerpt shown on Desert Books, so I was anxious to go out and buy the DVD, but I was rather disappointed that the only music and pictures was "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing". I really thought I was buying more than this. The detailed documentary on the making was interesting, but, in my opinion, not worth the money I paid.
We have a dear friend who we have known for only 3 years. She has become like a mother and grandmother to our small family. We have often tried to share the gospel with her but she was always hesitant. She said that once a person that she had trusted very well had told her that "Mormons" don't believe in the same Christ that she did.
About 1 month ago another friend sent us the link for "Reflections of Christ." We forwarded the link on to our non-member friend but did not follow up.
Then last week she came and knocked on our door and said that her entire family had visited the link numerous times and that she wanted a DVD copy for herself.
We told her the history of the production and its relationship to The Church. We then forwarded the Reflections of Christ website information to her as well as a link to Deseretbook.com. In addition we bought the DVD for here and sent it to her as a gift.
What a marvelous message and a powerful missionary tool!
After serving a Full-Time Mission as well as serving as a Ward Mission Leader, I know that such an inspirational message about the life of Christ will be instrumental in helping many find His truth.
Magnificent, just magnificent! Words cannot express the peace, serenity and glory that has come from this music and pictures. Undoubtedly inspired, and on my Christmas list.
I have sent an email to all my friends and family with this segment for them to watch and thoroughly enjoy, and they have!
Thank You! In a world of rush and harshness, thank you for the peace and the serenity.
I saw a preview of this at "womens night out" at the Joesph Smith Memorial Building during the Priesthood session of Conference. This is very powerful and moving. You can feel the spirit so strongly. Can't wait to get my copy.
I love this video. There was a strong spirit as the photographer explained and showed how he tried to get each shot. There was definitely a lot of love and care taken into each shot. This documentary is done very well. Don't overlook this DVD, you need to see it!
Cameron does a wonderful job. He brings to life all the things that Mark Mabry jr. was trying to bring forth in his photographs. It is clear that Cameron and Mark work well together and it shows in this DVD. If you get a chance watch the DVD first before seeing the photos, it really puts everything into perspective and helps you see what the photographer was looking for in each shot. Good job Cameron! Can't wait to get my own copy!
