If you are feeling overwhelmed with change, challenges, or checklists, you may wonder how you can partake now of God's happiness and find your pathway to peace, hope, and joy.
With loving insight, President Dieter F. Uchtdorf addresses two attributes that contribute to our Heavenly Father's perfect happiness — the power of creation and service with compassion. As a treasured daughter of our Heavenly Father, you can develop those remarkable abilities as well as find happiness in the journey.
By listening to the Spirit, you can come to realize that creating is not just done with paint, pen, or pottery, and compassionate service is more than a casserole or a card. As you bring something into existence that has never been before and as you serve others — even in small ways — you cannot help but participate in the wonder that is God's joy.
In The Remarkable Soul of a Woman, President Uchtdorf's timely thoughts on creating and being compassionate will buoy you up, give you strength, and help you realize what a great power for good you truly are.
Best gift ever because sometimes I forget my worth. I get caught up in all the stresses of life, and President Dieter F. Uchtdorf reminds me that being a woman is a remarkable experience. I am a woman and I do much more than I know and will ever imagine. I pick this up for that specific reminder. It's great for helping me to know that I am loved, that I make a difference, even when I face trials I am strong and I will always be loved by our Heavenly Father. I recommend this to my mother.
I am not sure about the negative reviews as this was a life saving gift for a friend. Yes it is a conference talk, but the way it is presented is worth the price.
I purchased this for a woman whom I visit teach and she had it in her car as she was taking her friend to get an abortion the next day. Her friend asked about the book and read parts of it on the way to the doctor. By the time she got there, in tears, she said she had decided that she was making a mistake and decided not to have an abortion. Thanks Pres Uchtdorf for following the spirit in sharing your wonderful message to women.
Although this book is quite short, I found it to be the perfect start to my day. I was able to read it quite quickly, but at the same time was uplifted by President Uchtdorf's simple message. I look forward to reading this over and over again, whenever I need a little boost!
This entire book can be read in under 30 minutes. I was looking for a book filled with inspiring words and something that would leave me filled. I finished reading it and then wondered why I had even bothered to buy it.
I gave this to my mom for Mother's Day and she really loved it. This is a great gift for any women for any time of the year.
I really think the message is wonderful, however if I would have known it was going to be his conference talk verbatim I would have printed it off lds.org for free and read it. If you want a conference talk in a pretty book and some pictures to look at then this book is for you, me personally I felt my money could have been spent better else where,
President Dieter Uchtdorf's talk formed into this book is a work in which each woman any age should read and reread. After having some challenges in the past year this book helped me read again how much our Heavenly Father and our Savior need strong women in each home. Stand strong against the winds of the world. Be faithful in our lives. Teach others to be not afraid. Women have been given gifts which can amaze even women.
I was disappointed that there wasn't anything new. All of the text was from one of Elder Uchtdorf's conference talks. The talk is great but it's available for FREE on the church's web site. There was a lot of fluff and blank pages, with very little text. This was a waste of money.
This is a wonderful book with a wonderful message. I also really like how the book has pictures and has a nice design to it. I want to give this to my mother and wife for Mother's day.
A Very good Book By President Dieter F. Uchtdorf!
I very good message of a womens worth. All Women of the Church should have this a read this book.
