Resistance Movement tells the incredible true story of Helmuth Hübener, Rudi Wobbe, and Karl-Heinz Schnibbe, three teenagers driven to tell the truth when they discover the Nazi regime is lying to the German people. They create the Helmuth Hübener group— the youngest-known resistance cell of World War II—and spread anti-Nazi leaflets throughout Hamburg, including posting them on Nazi bulletin boards. Fifteen-year-old Rudi is confident the small group can shed light on Hitler’s wrongdoings. But when the Gestapo arrests them, Rudi, Helmuth, and Karl-Heinz are unprepared for the brutality and rigidity of the Nazi regime, and each has his faith severely tested. Accused of treason, the trio faces the infamous blood tribunal, and their lives are placed in the hands of Nazi party loyalists.
You will be inspired by the faith and courage of three young LDS men as they fight against Hitler.

Being somewhat familiar with the story, I was looking forward to seeing this film. What a disappointment. It was obviously an extremely low budget stage play. The lighting was almost non-existent as were the sets and props. The acting was reminiscent of a very bad Jr. High School play. Nazi's half-heartedly shoving someone with their shoulder when they don't comply? Seriously? None of it was worthy of the story being told. I couldn't bear to finish watching it.

Resistance Movement is a great film. I watched it with my four children (ages ranging from 14-6)and we were able to have a great family discussion about it afterwards. My kids ask to watch it more frequently than the popular movies we own. Even my 6 year old was able to understand a lot of the movie and loved it. It was well written and filmed. I love the idea of a movie/play format mixed together. Definitely a perfect family movie.
One of the best features is the making of the film. I was touched when I watched how it came about and the feelings and experiences of those who were involved in the production. If you don't know much about the true events, I would recommend watching this first before the movie. You will quickly feel a sense of love for the real life heros as you watch the movie.
After watching the first time, I immediately wanted to watch it again. It's rare to find a movie that you can sit and watch all of the commentary on, but for Resistance Movement it was nice to watch with the directors commentating. It became more real and they did a great job of explaining important and key elements, as well as gave a sense of how wonderful the experience was to make the film.
You will not regret buying and watching this movie. It will be a good experience for you and your famly!

What an amazing job these actors did to portray life and its adversity in a time when evil ruled their land. My daughters were presented with this film by their history teacher in high school. They were quite motivated by the movie, as was I, so I had to take time to write a review and let you all know just how great it is!

This is an amazing and inspiring true story and it gripped me from start to finish. It is one of those films that truly makes you think and want to stand up with greater courage.
It is filmed in an artistic way, which actually enhances the experience. By not having so much to distract you, it actually helped me focus on the story and the acting more--both of which are top quality!
I would highly recommend this film to teenagers and people of all ages. There is a lot to discuss here with your kids. Excellent work!

I would not recommend this to anyone. A great subject matter but a horrible presentation.

The first thing that strikes you in watching this film is the absence of sets and backdrops. All backgrounds are simply blacked out. It is a little like you are seeing a film of a stage play. But not really, because the next thing that impresses you is the outstanding acting. And the next thing, the beautiful music. One also realizes that the film is very well filmed in spite of the fact that just the few props are used. After a short time, the blacking-out of all backgrounds has an effect that perhaps was actually planned by the filmmakers—that is, the gloom and blackness of life manufactured by a satanic governmental regime. With that in mind, the ambiance makes sense. Nevertheless, a viewer may still yearn for a full-on film production that incorporates the use of sets. Perhaps funding was a problem. But whatever the reason, this film nevertheless shines and succeeds marvelously—in fact, stunningly—because of the great acting, as well as the good sound and music. It is so worth the purchase. I was raised in theatre, and developed a taste for quality acting. This film is an example of such, and those watching will be delighted by it, not to mention the compelling true story it depicts. The film is driven by its performances, and by the end the viewer is completely captured by them. The move is simply a gem; it is a treasure.
