Interesting read of Joseph's mother's view of his life. I enjoyed the book and have it on my shelf.

Despite their claim that they went back to the original manuscripts, the Proctor's did a "below-par" job on this. Still, it is a fascinating book to read, but the language is not all Lucy's, as claimed by the editors.

Such a personal and intimate glimpse into the lives of the Smith family! I learned so much more about each of them. There isn't a whole lot written about Alvin, for example, but I came to love him just as much as Joseph and Hyrum. Even as young as he was when he died, he had such amazing faith and was a great example to Joseph. Very inspiring read!
