A revised and enhanced edition of Lucy Mack Smith's story of the life of her son, the Prophet Joseph Smith. Her cherished stories gracefully unfold the details of his life through the emotional perspective of a mother.
Interesting read of Joseph's mother's view of his life. I enjoyed the book and have it on my shelf.

Despite their claim that they went back to the original manuscripts, the Proctor's did a "below-par" job on this. Still, it is a fascinating book to read, but the language is not all Lucy's, as claimed by the editors.

Such a personal and intimate glimpse into the lives of the Smith family! I learned so much more about each of them. There isn't a whole lot written about Alvin, for example, but I came to love him just as much as Joseph and Hyrum. Even as young as he was when he died, he had such amazing faith and was a great example to Joseph. Very inspiring read!
