When CIA agent Janessa Rogers meets the royal family of Meridia on assignment, she expects to use her skills in linguistics and security detail to protect and serve, but she doesn't expect to find herself engaged to Prince Garrett Fortier, Meridia's most eligible bachelor, as part of the security plan. And she certainly doesn't expect to fall in love with him.
Janessa resists her feelings, fearing conflicts in her personal and professional life, yet when the Prince admits his feigned affection has become genuine she can no longer pretend. Matters of security, society, and spirituality make their unlikely romance even more complex, and escalating political intrigue gives Janessa an excuse to ignore the questions in her heart. But when a terrorist plot against the royal family endangers them both, Janessa and Garrett must face the challenges of loyalty to family, to country, to God — and to love.

I love Traci's books. They all keep me spell bound. But, PLEASE, change narrators. Several are very good, but the one for this book is on Crack! She barely stops to take a breath, and I have to pause the book occasionally just to calm myself down. Is she in a race to see how fast she can finish the book.
I love Tracy’s books, but this one is ruined by the reader. When I listen to this book, it makes me too jittery. I can’t finish listening to it. But because I love Tracy’s books, I will download the ebook and read it myself. So disappointing.
The 3 stars are because I have only listened to the first couple of chapters & don’t really have an opinion of the story yet. This book came highly recommended. However, the person reading it is reading too fast and with weird voice inflections. Hard to describe, but very distracting from the enjoyment of the actual story. I don’t know if I’ll be able to stick it out & listen to this reader. I agree with a previous reviewer who wished there was a speed setting for 1/2 to slow it down so it might sound more like a normal voice.
Great story but the audio version is read way to fast. The story is a five star story in my opinion.
I feel like the reader was in a race to get the book over. I wish I could turn the speed to 1/2 because I couldn’t stand to listen to it at that pace.
I really enjoyed this book. I have read a number of books by this author. Great book!
I loved this book! The reality really made you feel like you were in the book!
Traci Hunter Abramson writes such fun books. Action, spirituality, and a little bit of romance. They are wonderful to sit down with! Highly reccomend!
I really enjoyed this book as a piece of escapist fun, perfect for curling up with on a Friday night and whiling a couple of hours away. I like that the main character isn't fetaher-brained and is a strong female character, although sometimes I wanted to shake her and say, "You need to tell people what's going on WITH YOU sometimes!" But it's well-written and moves fast.
This novel is fun and exciting, but the fairy tale romance kind of spoiled it for me.
Great read. I couldn't put it down.
I loved this book! I have read another one by the same author, and she has such a way of bringing you into the story. I love the way she brings international relations into her books!
I love this author! Can't wait for this next book to get here. I will be reading from cover to cover without putting it down. No dinner for the family.
I have read all her other books and just love them. I can't wait for this book to come out. If it is anything like her last book I will have another sleepless night. I am counting down the days.
